A bit of both.  It has also been lack of space.  Saints have worked harder this quarter to tighten the contest and we instinctively look for a handball if not in the clear. It's an experience/decisive thing; were playing too strictly to the game plan instead of adapting.

In particular, they've gotten on to of the midfield contest this quarter.

Y can't we kick a goal

Our descision making is still terrible at times. Our voice must be poor as well, how many times have we been run down?! Saints pressure has been amazing in second qtr.

Get [censored].

I am so sick of losing to insignifent rubbish clubs.

We are an infuriating dumb bunch of footballers playing lazy football.

They want it and we don't. Simple. And beyond pathetic.

They will know they have us now. Same as the last 13 games in a row.

Pity the fool who plonked his hard earned on this mob today. We just cannot beat this shithouse mob at this gtround.

Three times in the last 5 minutes they've had a player loose 40meters from the kick out with nobody anywhere near them.

Well some of us could see this coming in the first quarter, clearly Melbourne couldn't.

Well done, you got it right! Still, if you're unrelentingly negative, you'll get it right when it happens.

You can't lose if you expect it to be horrible every time. Sometimes it is, and you win. Sometimes it's not, and you win.

[censored] pathetic effort. You'd think they could just flood and kill the ball for a minute. That's just stupid and lazy football.

We fundamentally do not know what to do from a mark or free kick.

  1. We don't get behind the man on the mark quick enough
  2. We have a lot of players who are one-sided that tend to run to their non-favoured side
  3. We don't face towards the goal so end up kicking on an angle

Appalling quarter.

Slow, lazy, poor structures, and two simple set shots missed.

Gawn getting murdered by Hickey for the second time this year.

So similar to the previous St Kilda game.

Could not be more upset right now.

Gee we look tired, who would have thought?.....

Love it. Was wondering how long it would take you.

Actually, we just look like badly skilled, unaware footballers.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
