Leave it to the skipper to get us a goal while we stuff around with the ball

Agreed. Too many handballs. We should be 10 goals up. We now have the talent.

We gifted the Crows 5 goals last week with silly turnovers.

Why can't they put the game up on time?

I've waited forever for us to beat Freo and then they delay it.

It's rooted.

Jeez Watts has improved his contested work. Becoming the super important player that I had given up on seeing.

And Gawn could win a brownlow.

2 more years of 2 Darwin games just announced. Can't say I'm thrilled :/

Well I seriously hope that, given that the bloody AFL sanction or even encourage this, both competing teams come off or go into a bye immediately before or after this game. And a max break at the other end. It can be done, but the AFL seem unwilling. Bastards.

So much possession resulting only in sideways options at the 50.

And by the way, Jack Grimes at halftime - 16 disposals at 93.8%, and leading the tackle count on the ground with 6 tackles.

For those who missed it - Bernie has shin issues and unlikely to play any further part in the game.

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
