If you're going to lose at least take the game on and run both ways and attack the ball when its there rather than wait for some one else to get it. I can take skill errors but lazy football I can not.

I back that we kick it to their spare a further 5 times this quarter. How dumb are we.

It's the correct decision though.

No it isn't. Head high contact is penalisable whether accidental or not, and that's the way it's been played all year, with the exception of conscious ducking. It's a further embarrassment to the umpiring of the game. Utterly woeful.

I know its early days but Oscar Mc Donalds first few disposals have resulted in turnovers!

I actually thought we started off well. Intensity was good and despite the fact that we couldn't score, kept the pressure up.

Then it went to poo.

Summary:

1st QTR in the last four weeks

6 goals to 1

5 goals to 1

8 goals to 1

7 goals to 2

Yet again game over at qtr time.

We have been killed yet again by the spare man in defence.

Great coaching Roosy. Good to see them coming out and breathing fire.

Adios I'm out of here. Think I'll wash the car.

At least we r consistent in something !!

We are being positively smashed in the middle and have a slow team both in mind and leg.

I am positive that it will be a large loss.

I am positive we need better players.

No heart, no urgency, no interest.

Will there be a soul at next week's game?

You know what Praha, I was listening to Tim Watson the other day and he made a point that I have to agree with. He noted that we don't have much talent in the side. If you go through the list honestly, he's right. To the point where I'd be up for a major rebuild.

Why did we even bother with Spencer today?

We have no run, getting smacked in the ruck and the clearances. We would have been better off with more legs through the middle. And Grimes is sub is just dumb.

The coaching perplexes me.

I asked that question about Spencer when he got selected and got hammered for it

No it wasn't. The rule was bought in to protect players lower legs. The Freo player jumped and kneed him in the neck, that is not lower legs. If they start that sort of interpretation then you will soon not be allowed to bend over.

Spot on, Dawson dropped his knee on Jones head trying to milk a free.

Thats bulltish.

You are generous. We have only kicked 3 goals during that period. None today. And we don't look like kicking one.

Very very early days. Kids been thrown to the wolves debuting today.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
