Lachie Henderson

Lachie Henderson has requested a trade.

The Blues are making him sit out the last 3 games of the year. Good for us I suppose ...

This is what's happening now.

Players naming their destination and saying 'stuff you' to the clubs.

I hope the Blues play hard ball ...

Is he someone we want??

Geelong were hopeful last time I asked (about 2 months ago) but thought he'd stay at Carlton.

They'll be licking their lips now.

Plenty of cap room with Enright, Johnson, Kelly, Stokes, McIntosh, Simpson and others all out the door.

Shocking attitude. Wouldn't touch a player that gives up so laughably before the season even ends.

Very similar to some of the players we've had over the years who throw in the towel after 5 rounds.

requests a trade to a side with Lonergan, Taylor and co. are Are Geelong and Hawthorn hoarding all the backmen in the league?

for once can't they go to the doggies, saints or us ?

I'd say our odds have shortened for Saturday. Not saying Carlton are tanking but they'll happily make their team weaker if the presents itself.

disagree lama; they guys going at about 58%.

In a side set on rebuilding since this time last year. And with an admin constantly deliberately undermining the old coach, which in turn effected team harmony, & satis-factions.

Why not speak the truth. After all there is no way a Fitzpatrick (Mr Integrity #2) run commission will do a thing about it.

a carlton supporter i know swears blind he's worth a first rounder. and so is yarran. pfffffft.

mind you, said carlton supporter who goes to a lot of underage games also says he doesn't think much of weitering - but that he's clearly the standout of what is a super-weak draft.

and you'd have to be blind to agree

And then have an article come out that refers to other players leaving like Menzel and Bell. Yes, that wouldn't destabilize a team, would it.

They want pick 1 and PSD 1 and will do anything to get them.

Carlton must hope that no one makes a private joke, could cost them $500k.

Hey had another thought what if McLean decides to dump on them like he did for us, I understand he wasn't happy with the cliques at Carlton

Yes. They will then be able to low ball Essendon for Carlisle.

When they refuse, Carlisle will demand to be traded for that low pick or walk.

Carlisle is angry enough to go through with it too.

and soon after he arrives at Visy Paper Bag Park, WADA will hit....another blow to the inventors of tanking.

    REDLEG PRIDE by Meggs

Hump day mid-week footy at the Redlegs home ground is a great opportunity to build on our recent improved competitiveness playing in the red and blue.   The jumper has a few other colours this week with the rainbow Pride flag flying this round to celebrate people from all walks of life coming together, being accepted. AFLW has been a benchmark when it comes to inclusivity and a safe workplace.  The team will run out in a specially designed guernsey for this game and also the following week

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    REDEEM by Meggs

How will Mick Stinear and his dwindling list of fit and available Demons respond to last week’s 65-point capitulation to the Bombers, the team’s biggest loss in history?   As a minimum he will expect genuine effort from all of his players when Melbourne takes on the GWS Giants at Ikon Park this Thursday.  Happily, the ground remains a favourite Melbourne venue of players and spectators alike and will provide an opportunity for the Demons to redeem themselves. Injuries to star play

    EASYBEATS by Meggs

A beautiful sunny Friday afternoon, with a light breeze and a strong Windy Hill crowd set the scene, inviting one team to seize the day and take the important four points on offer. For the Demons it was not a good Friday, easily beaten by an all-time largest losing margin of 65 points.   Essendon threw themselves into action today, winning most of the contests and had three early goals with Daria Bannister on fire.  In contrast the Demons were dropping marks, hesitant in close and comm
