Nev is showing a lot of traits of being a future leader of this club. I have marveled at his maturity over the years.

Good job boys.

Please take this the best way possible is what I would say to all Dees fans who think that this is unnecessary.

Nev and co. evidently think it is and at some point - others don't get to say it isn't.

Looking forward to all the people saying they are booing JKH "because he was in that annoying transport safety ad".

etc.

Eventually people will run out of excuses.

I'm really glad our club is joining the push back.

This is a great idea!

Lets take the attention away from our pathetic on field performances by turning our players and club tunic into a moving placard supporting a highly controversial and divisive opposition player!

Well, that's a depressing reaction...

Let's hope we can channel some of Goodes...

He can hit a target.

Even at an older age Goodes would be in our top 3.

Can play anywhere, and even after 2 brownlows, remains underrated for mine.

Going to bite my tongue on this one

By posting this, you've kind of done the opposite. Plus, you can still type while biting your tongue  .

Personally, I don't think broad, sweeping statements about the whole thing are accurate. But the booing must stop as there are obviously racial undertones. Initially, I was of a slightly different opinion regarding Adam (who I don't like a whole lot on the field) but it's clearly a serious issue and is affecting him greatly.

I think this is a nice show of support by our lads and the unity across the league has been great.

Supporting a mate.

At some point, you don't get to decide when others take offence at something.

Controversial and divisive figure?

I think you're looking for a line from the old "Priest's playbook";

"There's no need to cause a fuss. Why don't you just make this easier on us all?"

Heya Stuie (and Goffie small!)

I will probably die . . .laughing!!

Listen I'm trying sell space on the players other forearm.

Had offers from the "save the whale" people and a few

diehards from the "give Ireland back to the irish" want in!

But if you want to make an offer on behalf of your "society

of the pure and just" better be quick . . offers close 6pm!

They say that unless you’ve felt racial or religious oppression personally then you don’t know what it really means. That’s why I find much of the discourse we’re having at the moment so distasteful; and some of the excuses given to justify the constant booing of Adam Goodes are so patently pathetic that it beggars belief.

I support the players’ stance of wearing Aboriginal colours in support of Adam Goodes who is a great Australian and without doubt a person of quality which I measure far beyond those who boo him.

For several years I have also worn a symbol of my support for our Aboriginal people in honour of those members of the community who on 6 December, 1938 led a march down Collins Street to the German consulate where they attempted to present a petition to the German consul-general, D.W. Dreschler in protest against the "cruel persecution" of Jews in Germany in the wake of Kristallnacht -- the night of broken glass – when the Jews were targeted for killings or bashings, and Jewish businesses and homes were smashed.

We know where that led and I wear my black bracelet in honour of Reverend William Cooper who organised what I understand was the only protest in the outside world at that time. For more about Reverend Cooper, see here.

This entire controversy is bringing shame on the country and the sport and I salute our indigenous people and Adam Goodes for the dignified way in which they have put up with this tragic episode.

I don't agree with any racists comments towards any players or people in general for that matter but IMO this has gotten way out of hand.

Players of all sports get booed no matter what colour they are.

U cannot label people racist cause they boo a player. U will get the odd idiot in the crowd but please that is by far the minority and not acceptable.

I used to like the way Goodes played but in his later years with the cheap shots, sliding in and carrying on about frees, I have gone right off him.

It's nothing to do with skin colour.

Next there will be a ban on booing at games. It's just gone to far.

I understand your stance, but in NO way, is this even close to a tragedy.

Interesting move by the players. Looking forward to seeing the reaction from Goodes, and other clubs.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
