  4. From 'Organised crime and drugs in sport' report 2013 . . The Dopers hung their hats on this! Some ambiguity, but as this is not a go-to document for athletes and post dates Dopers usage (2012) you could say they were grasping at straws . . as has been their way. AOD -9604 Information AOD-9604 (stands for Anti Obesity Drug number 9604) was identified in Project Aperio as being used by professional athletes. AOD-9604 is an experimental drug that is in a growth hormone variants that has fat burning properties and may be used by athletes to increase power to weight ratios by better utilisation of fat stores. Athletes may also use it to rehabilitate soft tissue injuries. Method of use: • Liquid (injected) • Cream (applied to skin) Scheduling Status (SUSMP): Not yet approved for human use, about to enter the final phase of clinical human trials Border Status: not a border controlled drug World Anti Doping Agency Status: not currently prohibited ....................................................................................................... Also ASADA internal briefing doc 'Operation Cobia' doc (foi) Feb 2013 page no 34 item5: Aod9604 status prohibited SO No doubt in ASADA's mind re status of AOD! https://www.righttoknow.org.au/request/618/response/2470/attach/8/Released%20document%204.pdf
  5. From THE AGE McDevitt did not clarify at the weekend whether Essendon had been given wrong information on the status of AOD-9604 and stressed the long-term effects of the drug were unclear, saying its use at the club had been ''grossly irresponsible''. 'The advice I’ve had is that we cannot take the position that prior to April, 2013, that athletes and support personnel could have known AOD-9604 was, in fact, a prohibited substance,'' he said on ABC radio. ''What it comes down to is if WADA publicly stated for the first time on the 22nd of April, 2013,that it was a prohibited substance in sport, it would seem that if you pursued an anti-doping rule violation that related to the substance being administered prior to that date, then not only would it - in my eyes - be unsuccessful, it would be unfair."The reality is that this ... is actually something that’s got huge health effects potentially on humans. It’s just grossly irresponsible in terms of the player welfare.'' I think WADA would take issue with Benny's understanding (as reported by the rage) of the SO category . . SO. Non Approved substances . . ."Any pharmacological substance which is not addressed by any of the subsequent sections of the List and with no current approval by any governmental regulatory health authority for human therapeutic use (e.g drugs under pre-clinical or clinical development or discontinued, designer drugs, substances approved only for veterinary use) is prohibited at all times." By McDevitt's logic all banned substances must be listed by name in WADA code and if not listed then they (for prosecution purposes) don't exist! . . This thinking means SO category instead of being the cornerstone of the battle against new/designer peds would be completely neutered. Maybe he was just playing 'good-cop'?
  6. I think the story with AOD was ASADA would face some difficulty proving source. With Tb4 ASADA had a watertight (proven via CAS) source and chain of custody from China all the way to Jobe's ass.
  7. "Guy's I reckon Dank may have slipped us some dodgy gear! I recommend we bite the bullet and take ASADA'S deal, the public will understand we been duped, we miss a couple weeks of footy then play-out the rest of the 2014 season stress free!" Said no Essendon captain ever!!
  8. Dud club! Dud Comp! 34 doped ... No club penalties! Should not be playing! Maintain the rage! ................................. Congrats dees2014 You Landed a few!

  16. Well worth the read . . couple of my favorite bits . . on why McKenzie interview with Dank was discounted . . . 212. Given the circumstances in which the alleged admissions were made and the lack of any opportunity for cross-examination, to which must be added Mr Dank’s lack of credibility and reliability, the Tribunal is far from being comfortably satisfied that statements made by Mr Dank relating to TB4 in the course of his interview with Mr McKenzie were true. Nor is the Tribunal comfortably satisfied that what was described as the follow up call constituted any admission on Mr Dank’s part as alleged by the ASADA CEO. on why TB4 was not proven . . . 515. Reference has been made to Mr Xu’s statement to the ASADA investigator about GL Biochem. The Tribunal has accepted his statement that he supplied TB4 to Mr Charter. However, the statement about the company is self-serving. Mr Xu is responding to an investigator about the supply of substances by his company, which are the subject of an investigation. In these circumstances, it can be expected that Mr Xu would wish to portray his company in a favourable light. In the Tribunal’s view, little weight can be attached to his statement about the company and his assertion that what in fact was supplied was TB4. 516. Further, if there was a certificate of analysis of the TB4 purportedly supplied, it might be expected that Mr Xu would refer to it in his discussion with the journalist and the investigator. It is something of significance. He did not produce any documents to ASADA and told the investigator he had provided all the documents that his company still had on hand to the journalist. However, no reference is made to a certificate in the newspaper article. Having regard to the purpose of the article, it can be inferred from this that no certificate was supplied to the journalist by Mr Xu, which tends to support a conclusion that there was no such certificate.

  18. So, Tim also thought that Jobe's increased muscle mass during 2012 was due to the "very" late onset of puberty? On SEN this morning Tim claimed he had got his info timeline wrong! Quite a tap dancer is Tim! Red and black flogs the lot of em!!
