GAME DAY at Alice Springs - Round 9

Recommended Posts

Are Bail/Matt Jones/Watts/Howe even on the ground? Barely heard a peep from any of them on the call

Viney on straight away for whoever is the most hopeless of those 4.....gonna be a hard decision!

6 goals since there was 7:30 left.

40 point turnaround in 8 minutes.

8. [censored]. Minutes.

Yep. This is what makes us the hardest team to watch in the AFL. Had a horrible feeling we'd play them back into form, and that's exactly what's happened. I'd tip a 10 goal victory to Port now, or more. Just unimaginably brittle.

Tine to reset and get back to what we've done that's dominated most of this game. Three losses in a row will have port nervous if this gets close at the end

All our players got sucked to defensive side during centre bounces, meaning their sweeper just ate us up. Very poor structurally, brought on by a change in mindset.

We [censored] our pants, basically.

thank goodness it was basically and not literally

That momentum shifted drastically when Dunn inexplicably torped it down the middle. No need to do it. He's played one good season in his career. That's all I'll say.

McDonald, Garland and Fitzy have all had shockers so far. Brayshaw outstanding and Vanders once again good.

McDonald has been good. He's looked bad closing down options that Fitzy has let off the leash through inexperience, but they haven't been his man. He made one really bad error coming inside to Toumpas, but he's been ok other than that.

Anyone else want to talk up Bail and Matt Jones

Friggen horses for courses sheeit we will lose this due to shizen selections of not Picking Riley and or Newton then making Viney Sub.

I bloody told you so! Nar Get stuffed Fence what would you know.?? We are getting smashed in the midfield. I'll say something else Toumpas looks lost Watts not much better! Howe cheezus!

I really hate agreeing with you but there was one contest where Watts and Toumpas were closest to the ball and neither of them went to get it and Port walked away with it.

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs West Coast

    CROSSROADS by The Oracle

Melbourne stands at the crossroads.  Sunday’s game against the West Coast Eagles who have not met the Demons at the MCG in more than ten years, is a make or break for the club’s finals aspirations.  That proposition is self-evident since every other team the club will be opposed to over the next eight weeks of footy is a prospective 2024 finalist. To add to this perspective is the fact that while the Demons are now in twelfth position on the AFL table, they are only a game and a half b

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well
