Back to reality, the only games we will win this year is like last week when the other side doesn't show up, as soon as there is pressure we fold, last week was a fluke still bottom 4 for me

Posted

The old melbourne still lurks beneath.

We still need a star midfielder who can change a game.

Why not put Garlett in there this quarter, have to do something.

some very funny comments on the last couple of pages, haven't bothered with the rest. It's going to take time people.

I strongly believe we dont need Dawes to have a solid midfield. let him mentor off the field as he doesnt show anything on the field...When his contract up?

Here's a thought: GWS were really really good that quarter.

We're a bad side too, but give the opposition some credit.

Howe and Dawes have been the worst by far.

Dawes should never have been brought in on the back of a useless Nab challange.

Adds nothing to this side.

You could tell in the second quarter that this was always on the cards. We just lost all our run. Looked like we were spent and they have rope 'a doped us.

Every time we play these guys they out run us.

Posted

Let's see if we can respond this time.

I reckon we've got the capability but if the effort of the third quarter keeps up it'll be a ten goal hiding.

same ol same ol

wow...i am in shock...i just turned the radio on back at work

9 unanswered goals after such a good start..

This club murders people.

Get your F@#$^%ing arses into gear Demons..

This is just the old Melbourne resurfacing.

The new Melbourne played the first 5.5 quarters of the year, but the last 1.5 it's been a relapse into last year's team. We're slow, we're weak, we're being belted at the contest and on the spread, and we have absolutely no answer to anything the opponent throws at us.

Last week this was all the other way around, even in the first 40 minutes of this game it was too. The fact we can fall away so badly in the space of just one quarter is indicative of how much work we still have to do to climb back.

Posted

Seriously who didn't see this coming?

We are so incapable of playing 120 minutes it's just unbelievable. What a bloody waste.

You saw a 9 goal to zip quarter coming?

Head to tab mate. You've got a gift

The Giants just had another gear, we don't have the speed or ability to match.

That would have cut up a lot of AFL sides, hawthorn like nearly.

Posted

All our leaders went missing..

Cross worked hard, the rest Dawes, H, Jones, nothing.

Posted

Roos completely outcoached

Jones very poor.

One thing Malthouse said that made sense last night. Funny the times you are out coached when your team is outclassed.

Maybe we are playing 'Rope a Dope'.

Lets sit back and watch...

Posted

well, that was an outstanding quarter of football from gws. their midfield is scary.

I was going to say we were just pathetic, but I think this is more to the point.

Posted

Dawes should never have been brought in on the back of a useless Nab challange.

Adds nothing to this side.

Well it's hard to blame Dawes when the midfield is getting smashed....Blame VInce, VIney, Garlett, Kent, Jones Tyson.....Don't blame the forwards

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
