He is too talented to not give the opportunity, imagine if we delisted him and he found top form at another club, demon land would blow up

COULD NOT BE HAPPIER

Look, it may turn out to be a bust, but at some stage you have to reward quality people, and if anyone deserves an opportunity (and will make every possible moment one to repay the faith) it's JT. Good bloke, cruelled by injury and the burden of a bad environment.

Imagine if the best of Jack was on display next year. Will be the highlight of any recruiting/list management action if it happens for me.

Good luck JT!!!

I wish him well

I have my doubts considering the running needed for the modern game, but the club has backed him

As others have stated he is still only 23

JT could still become a forward yet.

Interesting though if he didnt re injure himself if he would have ended up at Richmond.

Everything happens for a reason IMO.

Good luck Trenners u deserve every succes and I will be more than happy if it's at Melbourne.

Now when the 2016 season starts can we play him as a half forward please

That is where he played his best football he is not a midfielder.

Like Grimes we ruined him trying to make a midfielder out of him.

Of course making him captain did not help.

Best of luck JT.

Trengove will not play another senior game at MFC! IMO

Honestly, you are the biggest stick in the mud. We all know there's a chance he'll struggle to get back, we don't need you to remind us, especially at a moment where he's just been given some good news and the club has backed him in.

Timing of comments is everything and yours stinks.

Wery subtle Ethan, I'll do some code breaking - but I'm sure I'll come up with Moonshadow.

Of course you will. Nothing is more certain.

Amazing that Trenners still has 2 months before he even starts to run. The guy must have an upper body like Arnie Schwartzeneger at his peak and the legs of Mr Punieverse.

Ah now don't go all sentimental like... you blokes!

Which club would offer an extention contract to a guy who.... however you wanta put it, was thrust up as a potential trade to Richmond!??

Sheesh no wonder we have not won a flag in 50 odd years!

Clubs that support their players and want to give them the best possible opportunity to succeed.

This is a good decision for all involved. Trenners gets to prove to the world he can still be an elite player with a guarantee of a contract in 2016, and the demons get to take a punt on him getting back.

Without knowing too much, I'm tipping he took a pay cut from his last deal.

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,

    GALLANT by KC from Casey

The world “gallant” is not one that is readily acceptable to losing teams in our game of football so when it was used in the context of the Casey Demons’ loss to Sandringham in yesterday’s match at Casey Fields, it left a bitter taste in the mouth.  The Demons went into the game against the St Kilda affiliated Zebras with the advantage of playing on their home turf (not that this has been a major asset in 2024) and with very little else going in their favour. The Saints have close to a full

    MEANWHILE by Whispering Jack

… meanwhile, at about the same time that Narrm was putting its feet on the accelerator to obliterate the long-suffering Euro-Yroke combination, I heard someone mention in passing that Kuwarna was leading Waalitj Marawar by a whopping 46 to 1 halfway through the second quarter of their game over in Adelaide. “What is football coming to?” I asked myself.  In front of my eyes, the Demons were smashing it through the midfield, forcing turnovers and getting the footy to their forwards who w
