Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

Patience, my pets. Tonight was but a practice game. When Clark breaks down - and yes, he will break down, whether through the snap of a bone, tear of a muscle or rare venereal disease - I will be there with Internet heroics so fierce I may require a hand transplant. In the meantime, it's still March.

You will not be alone pant....

its a practice game, even Sam got kicks. lets see how the season goes and if Mitch's body holds up once he starts to play, history has shown he has recurring foot problems, if he starts to play well he may find opponents on those feet of his more often. As for the AFL making him leave I find it difficult to understand under what circumstances you would force one of a bottom sides best players to leave and then allow them to join a top 4 side. a funny sort of punishment that would be.

I guess I can console myself by thinking that he started out like this for us too. He played half a season of his six year deal, injured himself and that was it. If Geelong get half a good season out of him and then nothing more I won't begrudge them that. It's only if he stays healthy and has a long, prosperous and premiership-filled career that I'll be truly [censored].

No wait here's a better on.

Frawlys on Clark and Clark takes one of his head first hangers and injures them both.

Yes!! that is my dream this season.

At least we got the big "H" for Mitch Clark. It would've been ALOT worse if we lost Clark for nothing. Either way, I will be one of many Melbourne supporters booing Mitch Clark when we play Geelong.

Adding Lumumba to our half back line and midfield will help us more in the long-run.

Best to move on and not worry about Mitch Clark any more until we play Geelong.

I'm over all the annoyance and frustration that Mitch Clark caused us. Time to look towards the future.

What a cvnt. Retired my ar$e.

I have the upmost respect for people that carry on with depression but this is beyond his illness. He chose to retire and walk out on us. See any dees players tweeting tonight saying congrats?

Put money on him for the Coleman

agree, this turd lied through his teeth l reckon, weak as [censored]!!!

I watched him live tonight and the catters supporters are loving him and understandably so. Unfortunately it won't last as they don't realise he is made of glass and won't last.

We traded an a grader who's a 10 game a year player for a b grade 20 game a year player.

Some will agree some won't but I loved Clarke's game tonight and am still happy with the trade

I completely agree Mitch Clark lied about his depression to get out. If he really had clinical depression how could he be in training within 3 months of being diagnosed. I think the club did the wrong thing in just believing him. They should have got a 2nd opinion before letting him out of his contract.

It is mental illness, they aren't exactly going to refute it.

It isn't hard to get diagnosed with clinical depression, I know people who allegedly do it for work.

I am past angry, because I never believed him in the first place, he was never clinically depressed, more he was depressed at his current situation, i bet he is not depressed anymore, I person that is depressed is depressed most of the time no matter whether they are doing well in life or not well in life, if he says that he is not depressed anymore than it was just at that moment in time, if so he lied.

Lets remember he played on a 187cm Kyle Cheney and a rookie ruckman in Rory O Brien who was playing Calder Cannons..

For all the hate the Frawley is getting on here i will put my money on him, Lake and Gibson to absolutely nullify him come round 1.

James Sellar kicked 5 against Port in the 2013 Nab cup. And as he found out come in the real stuff when intensity goes up million miles an hour he completely struggled.

Good luck to him reckon he'll be lucky to play 30 games for Geelong and he's a gr.b to boot.

At this stage happy to have H aboard. So far he's done all he can to get us moving and been a great role model for the younger brigade.

No wrist cutting here.

Mitch Clark's acceptance speech after being awarded the Coleman medal, "Before I say anything, I would like to offer my most heartfelt gratitude to the Melbourne Football Club for supporting me and believing in me when I was at my most lowest and most vulnerable. I wouldn't be in this position today without your understanding, patience and love".

LEADERS OF THE PACK by The Oracle

I was asked to write a preview of this week’s Round 8 match between Melbourne and Geelong. The two clubs have a history that goes right back to the time when the game was starting to become an organised sport but it’s the present that makes the task of previewing this contest so interesting. Both clubs recently reached the pinnacle of the competition winning premiership flags in 2021 and 2022 respectively, but before the start of this season, many good judges felt their time had passed - n

    TRAINING: Monday 29th April 2024

Demonland Trackwatcher Kev Martin was on hand at Gosch's Paddock for Monday's training session and made the following observations. About 38 to 40  players down at training.  BBB walking laps.  Charlie Spargo still in rehab, doing short run throughs.  Christian Salem has full kit on and doing individual work with a trainer. He is is starting to get into some sprints. I cannot see Andy Moniz-Wakefield out there. Jack Viney and Kade Chandler have broken away from the

    DISCO INFERNO by Whispering Jack

Two weeks ago, when the curtain came down on Melbourne’s game against the Brisbane Lions, the team trudged off the MCG looking tired and despondent at the end of a tough run of games played in quick succession. In the days that followed, the fans wanted answers about their team’s lamentable performance that night and foremost among their concerns was whether the loss was a one off result of fatigue or was it due to other factor(s) of far greater consequence.  As it turns out, the answer to

TIGERS PUNT CASEY by KC from Casey

The afternoon atmosphere at the Swinburne Centre was somewhat surreal as the game between Richmond VFL and the Casey Demons unfolded on what was really a normal work day for most Melburnians. The Yarra Park precinct marched to the rhythm of city life, the trains rolled by, pedestrians walked by with their dogs and the traffic on Punt Road and Brunton Avenue swirled past while inside the arena, a football battle ensued. And what a battle it was? The Tigers came in with a record of two wins f
