It is bloody early in the year, but you can already see the battle is on between the Skipper and Dom for the Bluey...

Going touch for touch at the moment...

I like it a lot...

A shame that we have wasted so many opportunities in front of goal.

Would also be nice to get the hand in the back rule payed in our favour just once.

Decent effort.

Would have won if the usual suspects like Jamar, Bail and Grimes ever learned how to kick better than a 3 year old girl.

who ever thought bail has improved must have rocks in there head this bloke is just an average player like Matt Jones and Grimes, ive been real critical of those 3

Overall im happy with that def 3 4 players to go out out of that group vberg frost newton in my round 1

Not suicidal, which is a great relief. Plenty to be happy about I thought. Our imports plus incremental natural improvement from young players such as Salem really added something.

Solid hitout, apart from some of our forward entries I thought we were pretty good.

Lumumba, Newton and Vandenberg looked good, Garlett can only get better, Hogan showed a bit and we came through unscathed. Not much there to complain about really, outside of the usual suspects but we've complained about them for the last 2 years.

I'm gonna jump in before the haters begin and say that I am pretty happy with that first hit out!

Tough conditions....

Hogan, Jones, Laboomba, Newton, Frost, Vandenburg, Tyson... all impressive....

We know who didn't have a great match, but let's not dwell on the negatives people...

It's just F'ing great that FOOTY IS BACK!!!

Great 3rd Quarter:

Hogan on the lead looked fantastic! Shame a couple deliveries were a bit ordinary.

Vandenberg looked promising, particularly with a few strong marks and good I50 work.

Salem keeps impressing me, he has a very nice balance between that hard at it inside game yet well composed and "classy" deliveries out of defence.

HL off the back line did a few nice things.

McDonald has impressed me so far.

The usual N. Jones and Tyson have impressed me.

The usual, who won't be named continue to disappoint me.

Yep, Watts hasn't had a touch tonight...

Gotta enjoy demonland. After Q2 the razor blades were out and we were bound for the bottom again. Then it turned out Freo were just as bad in Q3.

3 goal defeat and no major injuries? I think we take that. Two whole quarters without a goal is disappointing though.

All of our recruits: Frost, Newton (1st half), Garlett (2nd half) and Lumumba looked good. vandernBerg looks like he could be a player.

Some encouraging signs from Salem and to a lesser extent Toumpas after half time.

Simply, we will continue to lose games this year if Matt Jones, Bail, McKenzie, Grimes and Garland continue to make the same schoolboy errors they always make. Georgiou in early 2014 was more reliable than what we've seen from Garland since then.

Not really sure what to make of this game tbh.

The second quarter was appalling and if that's what happens every game we are cactus.

The other three quarters weren't too bad but our kicking for goal will lose us games come the real season.

Disappointed but can c some improvement.

Next game will be interesting.

Grimes, Bail and MJones out for me.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
