Malthouse seems to think he should retire, while "he still has something left in the tank".

Would we want him at MFC? Would he be interested? Could it happen? Didn't he promise his Nanna he would play for the dees?

Posted

No. Turned us down when we were any real chance to get any value out of having him at the club. He is now a shadow of his former self and would lucky to be best 22 at most clubs with the way his body is deteriorating.

Definite no.

SURELY you're taking the absolute [censored]? I'd have for him to come to us, especially in the condition his body is in and how he snubbed us off a few years ago. He can go get f'k'd.

Purely as a player, I miss watching him at his best and think it's sad to watch him run around now.

The last thing we need is to help Judd with his pension plan. Despite his skill and ability, he would only clog the list for a year and keep a younger, developing player out of the team.

No thanks.

Maybe we could get Locket, Jackovich and Williams as well while we're at it!!

As long as you throw in Cazaley and some of the Fitzroy mosquito fleet from the 19030s.

No, no, no!

We have a far better senior leader at the club right now in Daniel Cross.

Struggling to see the upside of recruiting Judd.

His leadership has always been lacking in my opinion.

Aloof, some would say sh%t bloke.

I don't know what we'd want him for, especially at the expense of a youngster.

Judd has never been the one to play an unpalatable role and sacrifice for the team, a la Daniel Cross.

Only if he promised to do more chicken wings and pressure point assaults. Perhaps a bit of eye gouging, scratching and squirrelling as well. You know, step it up a bit. Nice.

Who would have thought we would be saying no to a multiple all Australian former captain of two sides, premiership captain, norm Smith medalist, dual brownlow medalist and multiple best and fairest winner

In short we need the player desperately even at his age, but his personality makes it a no for me

I'm with the nays, but not because of some of the petulant people above who only seem to not want him because they're still bitter about how he handled us half a lifetime ago.

I just simply don't see the point. There's a very big chance you'll get nothing from him. If he had anything left to give, Carlton would keep him.

You are wrong there Machsy he was severely hampered in 2007 and knew he was leaving Meth Coast at the end of the season. He played the second half of that season under extreme duress as his team had another tilt at a flag. Had he been selfish he could have booked in early for surgery and hit the ground running pre-season with his new club. Furthermore he made sure Meth Coast got a good deal when he could have walked via the PSD. Whatever coin the Tigers wanted to throw at him Carlton would have matched and taken him with pick 2 in the PSD.

Having said all that it's a no from me

    TRAINING: Monday 20th January 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
