Nathan Jones not so long ago, tweeted he following:

Shout out @BradMilzy What a legend of a bloke. Quality leader & player with awesome resilience.Congrats bro on a sick career!Yew!

I've seen nothing else indicating his retirement...but if not retiring, seems like a strange tweet.

if so id jump on him to come back to our club for some sort of assistant coaching quality. had tremendous leadership and would be an asset to our young brigade

Good on you Brad

much maligned on the forums probably would have done well under Neeld

Would still be a welcome addition in some capacity at the club for his attitude and focus and of course Pia

Everything I've heard about him is that he was great clubman while at Melbourne, I had high hopes for him early on in his time at Melbourne and although he never reached the hights I wished for he had some great moments with us.

Would like him to come back to the club at some stage.

We were all a bit slow today. It took a good 5 posts for a Pia mention on a Brad Miller thread.

Well done on getting the best out of yourself, Brad.

Well done Brad - I am with Pates - never quite reached the heights expected after so much early promise.

Im not sure how good a coach he would make - he has some fantastic qualities -loyalty, leadership, commitment to the contest and apparently a top bloke. On the flipside - he was not the cleverest footballer going around in terms of running to the right places and making good decisions.

I compare him to Leigh Brown- somewhat similar but Brown at Collingwood was given a role and you would have to say that he did his job to perfection.

Congrats on your time at Melbourne and an extended life at the Tiges

28, was on rookie list, Tigers obviously not prepared to elevate to main list = retire or run the gauntlet of another draft. Probably made the right call. Only slim chances of being drafted and if he was there would be a good chance he'd need to shift interstate.

Probably not interested in doing that at this stage in life.

Well done Brad. You played some very good games at the Dees and always made sure to do the hard work on the track and in the gym to get his body as right as possible.

I sat next Brad's dad in the AFL members during a Melbourne Richmond game many years ago. Brad was in the best, I think Neita kicked a big bag. It was truly a pleasure. A great guy, very proud of his son and rightfully so.

His only 28, sounds like a forced retirement to me...

Just because Richmond isn't giving him another year, doesn't mean they're forcing him to retire. Brad is smart enough to know another club was not going to take him, so he would've chosen to retire. He could've opted to enter the draft again if he so wished.

That only happens at MFC.

Yeah was a good player for us, never quite delivered what he often promised but was a great AFL player non the less, Thanks Brad

He was pick 55 in the 2001 draft. FMD, he has delivered more than some Top 10 draft picks

Fully support that 100%

Fantastic bloke. Well done for getting the most of your career. Stellar achievement and hold your head high.

Well I'll be the first to admit I bagged him for his past 4 years at the Dees, however I never played AFL footy (and that says it all!) , so good on ya Brad happy retirement.

Goes down as a 150 game player and that's on the back of true dedication. Well done Brad, it's an exceptional effort.

Also interesting that his career score was 120 goals 77 behinds, that's not a bad conversion rate for someone that I remember being an unreliable shot for goal.

Brad had some excellent games as a linkman CHF. When Brad was able to lead up to provide an option handballing the ball off, the ball moved quickly in the forward line creating 1:1 options to Nieta and co. His biggest problem was he could not be a gorilla type and use his bulk to advantage when the ball was on top of his head.

He got the most out of himself and had Hall's measure as a backman.

Kudos to him.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
