  1. Kate's first project is to demolish them and build a state of the art facility for the MFC.

  2. Can you imagine how [censored]-a-hoop the Bummers supporters would be if they got over the line against us? We owe it to the entire football world not to allow this.

  3. Good to see them starting to lock players away. Got to love this from the geniuses at AFL.com.au. Article about Spargs but lets use a photo of JJ

  4. It's a bit stiff when you have played 9 games, never lost, had 2 rising star nominations, won a premiership and they start you on the bench.

  6. No change. No surprise. Why? Because, Goody rarely makes changes (except injury related ones) to a team coming off a win. So, if we win this week and lets say Tmac or Spargo have quiet games statistically, can repeat offenders please consider resisting the urge to suggest they will be dropped.

  8. Jordan doesn’t wax lyrical about this when prodded by Garry Lyon and other Fox people that know - but he had the ear of Oliver and Petracca and Gawn long after he retired and even came down to the club in the pre-season ahead of 2021. He considers himself someone with a split allegiance which is simply stunning when you consider what he achieved at the Hawks. He was better than people remember and the people that matter got a lot out of him.

  9. Regardless of the outcome of the match tonight, I'm still not overly convinced of the credentials of either of these sides. The (likely) result has cemented that the Dogs are the biggest down hill skiers in the league. Most of their players are frontrunners and frankly they're a bunch of prima donnas. Sydney have a lot of talent but are young. I suspect their season will be up and down and whilst they'll make the 8, they have a while to go before they seriously challenge.

  11. Very much the same here, always had a soft spot for them, but am just completely over their relentless pursuit of free kicks!

  12. Umpiring of Bulldogs games is atrociously biased. It’s actually extremely off-putting and offensive. Someone needs to risk a heavy fine and call out the umpires and AFL. You want supporters to respect this drivel put up on a weekly basis? Good luck with that.

  16. Extract from AFL article: "Spargo's hard running, tackling pressure, toughness and smarts with the ball are highly rated by the Demons and he was a valuable cog in their flag machine last year when he played in every game for the season. A three-year contract would take Spargo through to his free agency after he was selected by the Demons in the 2017 NAB AFL Draft. Spargo started his career with 18 games and three finals in his debut season in 2018 but managed eight games in each of the 2019-2020 campaigns before his excellent 2021 season saw him cement his place in the Demons' side. – Callum Twomey" Love Charlie. Such a cool cat. And, already a seasoned finals campaigner. Not sure if the 3 years is a guess but makes sense as it takes him to FA at the end of 2025.

  19. Watch his terrible acting once out of contest for a free. His first goal was a great example arching his body and throwing his arm back to get a free. If he wasn’t an acting, cheating little grub I might respect him, but I don’t!

  20. The free kick issue is something the dogs have been specialising fr some years. There just HAS to be a key to understanding it.. and undoing it. It’s genuinely taking away my enjoyment in watching the game.

  21. To call that a dangerous tackle is farcical. Yet Jobe Watson defends it, sorry you pathetic lap dog Jobe, but that was not dangerous and your comment is yet another example on why you commentary is disparaged by so many

  22. Its as if the umpires default position at every contest is "why should we not give the Bulldogs a free"

  23. It's a deliberate tactic. By moving that far away, they are not subject to the "Stand" rule. Of course, it allows their opponent a clear 5 - 10 metre run forward. The Dogs coaching team must think it is worth it. I'm not so convinced.

  27. I assume this is correct, because it's otherwise hard to explain the reason for how much better he has become. He also needs to be credited with having put in the hard work necessary to be better. It doesn't matter how good the coaching is if the player doesn't do the work.

  29. What do you mean by limited athletically? ANB can run all day and he is not slow by any means. Before he became a footballing asset to us many branded him as just a fit athlete. The guy can match Langers in fitness and stamina. Like Langer he can run all day. Maybe you had tongue in cheek with your 'limited athlete' comment. Please explain what you meant.

  34. He has a lot of talent - but absolutely bends the rules. Flops on the ground, in the air and generally dives the moment he feels contact. Worse, he then celebrates his ill gotten gains (goals) harder than most celebrate a running team lifter. Over the top and ridiculous. Does it for non goals too - a teammate makes a run of the mill tackle and watch him bounce around with fake bravado and joy. if he concentrated half as hard on his game and role as he does on geeing himself and others up he'd be an even better player. Case in point - in all his crazy enthusiasm he tried to mark that ball on the goal line in the 1st QTR of the GF. Was going through for a goal - a crucial, grand final first quarter goal. He was so excited he genuinely stopped the goal and damn near knocked himself out in the process

  41. I don't see Beford and Chandler as similar to Spargs tbh, massive difference in the quality of decision making and score involvement impact IMO. Laurie we'll have to wait and see, by all reports he could become a very good kick for us, but he's yet to play a game. Spargo has played 61 games since 2018. Bedford and Chandler have a combined total of 5 games. I reckon that tells you if Spargo could be replaced by either of them.

  42. Good news, still remember bringing a pal to a Melbourne game last year who hadn't watched much footy in a few years - In the first quarter he said Spargo looked too small/slow, by the end of the game he saw the light.

  43. There’s been very little discussion on the net and social media about future prospects of late which, will change this weekend with the start of the 2022 NAB Boys League. It would appear that the Oakleigh Chargers are going to be one of the teams to beat again. They have been strong in recent seasons and have consistently provided high draft picks. This year, they have two of the most highly rated midfield prospects in Elijah Tsatas and George Wardlaw in their ranks. Their neighbours from Sandringham are also expected to be up there again. Here are previews for the Oakleigh Chargers and the Sandringham Dragons from Aussie Rules Central - 2022 NAB League season preview: Oakleigh Chargers and 2022 NAB League season preview: Sandringham Dragons.

  44. As others have pointed out, he doesn’t fumble any more and has very clean hands. He also doesn’t turn back into play once he gets it. He now runs in straight lines. He has been coached very well.

  46. I’d put Daniel Cross in the same category: not a premiership player but came to the club with a very professional attitude and IMHO greatly helped revive our fortunes.
