Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

I popped back into the big footy link.

we are called ‘shemons supporters’.  Lots of comments about how insufferable we are, we don’t have a home base, tanking and the failed merger.  Oh, we overlooked Dusty twice.  Smashing these flogs would be particularly enjoyable......

Hawks supporters are not all that unlike Melbourne supporters (as much as some here may hate to admit it). Very similar demographics, up and about when they're doing well but very quiet otherwise. Tigers supporters have always been nauseating: if not for their hyperventilation when they were crap then for their "GOAT" rhetoric post-flags. Theyll never let anyone live down this four year stretch. And if they win it this year well then god help us all because they may well be the GOAT.

See now the way to fix them up is beat them this week then ensure they don’t win the GF let alone make it. Dees tigers prelim.

it was a big mistake allowing them to use our ground as their home ground

they barely got going in the fourth as well if not for Dusty. He pretty much led every single charge forward. you could see it coming though. by the end of the third we were running on fumes. and if I remember correctly many of their goals in the last came on the run out of our forward line.

just found it funny that this week some of their supporters are calling us the weakest 5-0 side ever. They were gifted a dream run to start the year in 2017, faced teams on a short break and played Carlton, Brisbane and Collingwood, who finished 16th, 18th and 13th respectively that year. Then JUST overran a Melbourne team with no rucks and 1 player on the bench. Moral being that regardless of who you beat, if you string a good run of wins together at any point of the season you're setting yourself up for success. which is exactly as they did. I hope their complacency this week turns into a wakeup call. All good things must come to an end. A changing of the guard must start this weekend.

Then got belted by the Crows in round 6 by almost 80 points before going on a run of losses (4 losses in a row).

Speaking of Richmond supporters, does Mario from Doncaster still do the rounds on SEN? They were more appealing when their fans mostly had his mindset. :pj:

What the [censored] does 'shemons' even mean?

Tiger supporters are as bad as Collingwoods, if not worse.  The kind of mouth breathing scum that would write an angry email to the Department of Home Affairs demanding that Dustin Martins daddy be allowed back in the country as they cry over their keyboards

How is it I remember the times Richmond supporters seem to have forgotten?

The tin rattling for the Save Our Skins campaign when they were dead broke and an endangered species.

The delivery of chook manure by disgruntled fans.

The returning of membership cards or the burning of them when another unsuccessful season was unfolding.

Ah, yes, those were the days. Richmond supporters should not forget where they came from and be a bit more humble.

They were a joke even half way through 2017. That loss on the siren to Freo, the media went them, and rightly so, for their soft underbelly. That same team has now won 3 flags. It can turn quickly.

The great Geelong side were similarly flakey and unreliable in early 2007 and we know what happened after that.

Given where we've been for almost 60 years, I would be very surprised if the vast majority of Melbourne people weren't humble if we went on a similar run.

To be humble, I think, is one of the more important traits in life and in sport. It sounds like Richmond supporters have little of this, and for a club that failed to make the finals for almost 20 years and then when they eventually did get there, choked at the first asking, is pretty rich I reckon.

That call he made comparing his lot as a Tiges supporter to Jacquie Kennedy post the JFK shooting is one of the funniest things I've ever heard. Wonder if he still has the petrol station.

Or Whorethorn, Essendrug or Filth. I find all these names disturbingly juvenile and unbecoming a supporter base I like to think of as more sophisticated than the average.

It's a deadset guarantee that if we have a run of success, our supporters will overnight become arrogant, entitled and insufferable. I for one look very much forward to seeing that happen.

Very likely. It's bigfooty.  Average mental age there is around 10.

I also dislike these nicknames.  But I make an exception for Essendon.  The other names have no real proven basis and so are pretty silly, but not so with Essendon.

Wet Toast is silly but harmless. Calling us Shemons has clear misogynistic undertones. Whoever started that is clearly a boorish oaf.

    TRAINING: Monday 29th April 2024

Demonland Trackwatcher Kev Martin was on hand at Gosch's Paddock for Monday's training session and made the following observations. About 38 to 40  players down at training.  BBB walking laps.  Charlie Spargo still in rehab, doing short run throughs.  Christian Salem has full kit on and doing individual work with a trainer. He is is starting to get into some sprints. I cannot see Andy Moniz-Wakefield out there. Jack Viney and Kade Chandler have broken away from the

    DISCO INFERNO by Whispering Jack

Two weeks ago, when the curtain came down on Melbourne’s game against the Brisbane Lions, the team trudged off the MCG looking tired and despondent at the end of a tough run of games played in quick succession. In the days that followed, the fans wanted answers about their team’s lamentable performance that night and foremost among their concerns was whether the loss was a one off result of fatigue or was it due to other factor(s) of far greater consequence.  As it turns out, the answer to

TIGERS PUNT CASEY by KC from Casey

The afternoon atmosphere at the Swinburne Centre was somewhat surreal as the game between Richmond VFL and the Casey Demons unfolded on what was really a normal work day for most Melburnians. The Yarra Park precinct marched to the rhythm of city life, the trains rolled by, pedestrians walked by with their dogs and the traffic on Punt Road and Brunton Avenue swirled past while inside the arena, a football battle ensued. And what a battle it was? The Tigers came in with a record of two wins f

    GAMEDAY: Rd 07 vs Richmond

It's Game Day and the Demons once again open the round of football with their annual clash against Richmond on ANZAC Eve. The Tigers, coached by former Dees champion and Premiership assistant coach Adem Yze have a plethora of stars missing due to injury but beware the wounded Tiger. The Dees will have to be switched on tonight. A win will keep them in the hunt for the Top 4 whilst a loss could see them fall out of the 8 for the first time since 2020.
