GO DEMONS

Majak was there that night too!

ย

Itโ€™s a pity for sure. He has been great. So mobile

gawn looks sore too and now heโ€™ll have to ruckย more

will be great toย see Weed finally okay though!

4 serious marking targets inside 50

If Weed can't crack a game this week, i think its curtains for the big fella.

ย

T. Mac will surely go ruck and pinch hit around the ground. Considering he's our 2nd best contested mark at the moment wouldn't be a bad thing to sit him infront of McKay

Yes, he was helping the publican tap a new barrel to the pumps. Was shocked to find violencing going on in the premises.

GO DEMONS

Patrick Dangerfield has stepped up to defend AFL players against little old ladies who get too much shopping to carry just so that they can post on social media when an AFL player comes to help them.

If we need to give Weid his opportunity... here it is!

... but, if we need to switch like for like, its Majak

If majak gets called up before Weid start imagining him in Black and White!

ย

No to Weideman.ย

McDonald back up rucks. Brown comes up the ground more at times. Fritsch resumes his taller role. Melksham and Petracca play more forward. Sparrow comes in.

Pressure, pressure, pressure, pressure people.

And more pressure.

Is 1-2 weeks for Jackson proportional to 1-2 weeks for Viney or is a different scale being used ?

One is a finger the other a toe . Totally different problems. Finger injury won't worry you as much and a toe.

Hard to wipe your bum with a sore toe.ย

Was Dogga bitten on the paw by another Dogga, while defending his Dogga at a late night leash free Dogga park?

You have to ask Trac?

Weid straight replacement as ruck forward. Keep Brown and McDonald in the key posts.

The need for WEID!!!!! It has to be Weid, Brown is not agile/fast/fit enough. Tmac is playing his role perfectly so donโ€™t move him and let he and BBB keep working out how to play together.ย

Weid to play the chop out ruck role and other fwd.ย

Bad luck for Jackson, though could do with a rest. Young body, playing a tough game, bring him back after the bye.

Send him home to WA for a while.

Weids in, let's see how he goes paired with BBB. Our mids will have tinkeredย withย the centre bounce andย I expect lots of service for the fwds,.

Weids will be well freshened, due toย the VFL cancelled game last round.

Tmac and possibly Petty to relieve in the ruck.

Max to dominate the central area.

Edited by kev martin

The Weid is in surely. Hope he takes his chance.ย

Max to go back to rucking 90%+. Weidย ย and TMac to share the 10%ย

Rest up Lukeย

Go Deesย

If Majak gets a game first lย wouldnโ€™t begrudge Weiderman for a second leaving the clubย at the end of the seasonย

And l really canโ€™t see the comparison between Jackson & Majak

ย

Weed in and also Sparrow.

TMac will not ruck. (famous last words)ย  Goody is adamant about the role he is playing.ย ย

Would Weid want to come in as a ruck? Has he continued to do that at training? If not and Majak has then based on the coaches approach this year Majak may come in.ย

  • NON-MFC: 2026 Opening Round

Finally the 2026 AFL Premiership Season is upon us. While Melbourne sits out Opening Round, there is still plenty of footy to enjoy with five non-MFC clashes to kick off the new season. It all begins on Thursday night with a blockbuster at the SCG as Sydney hosts Carlton in what should be a strong early test for both sides. On Friday night, Gold Coast gets its chance to open the season in front of a home crowd when the Suns and Christian Petracca take on Geelong at People First Stadium. Saturday features a double-header, starting in the afternoon with Greater Western Sydney and Clayton Oliver meeting the Hawks at Engie Stadium. That is followed on Saturday night by Brisbane Lions hosting the Western Bulldogs at the Gabba, with the Lions embarking on their campaign to win the Threepeat. Opening Round wraps up on Sunday night at the MCG, where St Kilda takes on Collingwood in the only game in town in the first week of the season. There is no shortage of storylines across the round, so discuss all the action from the non-MFC games of Opening Round.

  • PREGAME: St. Kilda

With just over two weeks until their opening match of the 2026 AFL Premiership season, the Demons are already well on the path to redemption and have the Saints firmly in their sights ahead of their mid-March clash at the MCG. What do you think the team will look like when they run out on to the G?

  • REPORT: Richmond

Mars is not usually a place known for lighting strikes but on Friday evening it happened twice in the vicinity of the stadium in Ballarat that carries the name and is a half completed building site with limited capacity for spectators.

  • VOTES: Richmond

Kozzy Pickett was the man of the match last week and has a vote lead over backup ruck Max Heath who didn't play this week and 5 votes over former Saint Jack Steele. Who gets the votes in this weeks shortened match win over the Tigers? Your votes please. 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 & 1.

It's Game Day and the 2026 AFL Premiership season is almost upon us as the Demons take to the field for their final practice match before the first ball is kicked in anger in 16 days time. What are you expecting to see from the Dees today as they take on the Tigers at Mars Stadium in Ballarat?
