Thanks, I noticed he kissed the armband after his last goal.

How about a gloat-free moment.

Re Max going over the mark, I didn't quite catch it, but I thought he just jumped leaning forward and his feet did not go over the mark even when he landed.   If that is right I'm surprised that the rule prohibits that. It must happen all the time when a player just waves his arms about.

Nah, return to gloating.

Tbh id have to look at a replay. It didn't look like he'd transgressed.  I just thought the idiot had kicked too close.

Nah he was over by a foot.

Great Win. Huge scores back to back. Percentage is red hot. Momentum on our side. Everyone lined up for a goal or 4.

Go Dee's!

Hawks have to win by 6 goals+ to knock us back to 4th.

I was sitting in line and it did look like it. The the kick wss low trajectory anyway so made it lookcworse.

Lever was superb with the intercept marking today.

The Max Gawn 50m incident after the first qtr and Viney going in and fighting 10 carlton blokes at once was inspiring.

Petracca needs to play as a forward more. If he was a decent set shot he'd avg 2 goals a game as a medium forward which is close to All Australian form.

Neal-Bullen, Harmes, T. Smith and Hannan all superb. Spargo was chasing Carlton players relentlessly when the game was over, it's something we haven't done when in these situations.

We are basically playing Richmonds manic pressure with 4 talls. Says something about the athleticism and endurance our big boys have.

Oliver had an operation during the week on his finger - which was fractured apparently. Pretty impressive that he could get up for today’s game and still be as clean as ever!

We are so well balanced now and have so many options up forward and in the middle that guys like Hogan and Petracca and such don’t have to have match winning performances.

The additions of Lever down back and the form of TMac and Melksham make us very hard to match up on , and Brayshaw is almost our best mid right now.

That was the win we have been working toward for a while. We have definitely announced ourselves to the football world. We may finally get a mention from the media, that would be weird!

I am so looking forward to next week and measuring ourselves against a top 4 side. Viney will be better for having blown out the cobwebs and will hopefully be back to his bollocking best.

Lever! Really starting to click now and our defence is starting to look really solid. I just didn't know what to do with myself at the ground, my body wanted to be nervous and stressed but there was nothing to get stressed about, it was the strangest feeling. I want more!

Go Dees!

Yep, and quite demonstrative about it.  Clearly meant a great deal to him

Well you are going to love how Brisbane are going against the Hawks then. If this keeps up Carlton will find themselves dead set last on the ladder!

His feet didn’t move - he leant forward.

What a delight! Such a joy to watch. The dam wall burst last week and now I think we see a side that wants to get the most out of every game. Milkshake was brilliant, T-Mac clinical, ANB has the radar back. Super impressed with Lever, every time he gets a fist on it he removes the danger. Brayshaw playing with more confidence. An amazing team effort, these guys are all playing for each other right now.

Got a big boy team next week, hopefully we take this momentum into it.

In all seriousness, watched on TV and haven't seen that kind of massacre on a footy field since the Neeldy days (wrong side) and Daniher days (right side).

We should wear the royal blue every week. I made a deal with myself, if we win this week I buy one and get it shipped overseas. Looking forward to its arrival.

And Bailey days! (Roos Swans)

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
