Vince just said he helped bugg with goal kicking.

Obviously worked.

He also took credit for it too!

norf would have had this game pencilled in as a win.

Really surprised they didn't bring in Preuss, as he manhandles Max, and could have curtailed his influence.

Anyway, eat a slimy bucket of dciks norf supporters.

A win like this makes it very tough for the players at Casey to get in the side, but that’s exactly as it should be! Itdhould be blooody difficult and once there don’t lose your spot.

i was a bit disappointed with the delivery inside 50. Seemed hap hazard at times. Other times it was gone.  What a win.  Go dees!!!

They shouldn't have even had a 4 goal lead, honestly the worst umpiring I have seen in a dees game in that first quarter

Ben Browns stats look inflated. 3/4 of his goals were from frees. (One where he faked it and another earnt by his team mate).

Just clocking in for the first time in a while to say that this will 100% be the most satisfying win of the H&A season. We beat North. The last of our dark day hoodoos is dead. Thank the heavens.

Wasnt the fanciest of wins, but boy does it feel good to put those campaigners back in their box.

Good team effort to come back from a super sloppy start.

Horrendous umpiring. Really needs to be looked at. That call on fritsch was the worst ive seen in a long timem

Jordan Lewis was very very good today.

If not for those silly umpires it would’ve been a ten goal win.

At a bucks party so have only seen stats. Buggy four goals.  Welcome back Dean Kent. Lewis worthy of a spot? Cmon you demons!

Lewis definitely worthy of a spot much to some peoples chagrin.

That's why Bugg gets a game hes not the cleanest player but he'll always give you a contest. Salem was very good as was Wagner. After the first 10 minutes it was a pretty clinical team effort despite still wasting some inside 50s and a couple of scares particularly late in the 3rd.

Agreed. Oscar is in my votes. Great game from him, helped by a much better defensive effort all around.

Really looking forward to watching the replay of this one, so many stupid losses to this rabble. Though I have a feeling I’m going spend some time confused about some frees. About bloody time we broke the curse.

I believe that is most (if not all) of the crazy streaks/hoodoos gone.

[EDIT] [censored] yeah!!!!!

Don't forget we still owe Carlton for last year. Also Essendon, Collingwood, Richmond, Hawthorn, .... well just pencil in the whole comp!

Max has gone to another level, those pick ups from his ankles to feed teammates, wow. Kent’s pressure inside our forward 50 was immense.

Sorry Jordan Lewis for the spray in the second quarter. We will sleep well tonight, go Dees!

That was some shocking umpiring. Brown gets a free kick for elbowing Lever in the head... What The?

I am prepared to admit that Wagner is not a total waste of space and try to be mentally fairer on him in future. I have struggled to understand why he was in the team since some of the hideous butchery of the ball he produced last year. He seems to be fairly reasonable at the moment.

Kent seems to be back in form, wow, pressure on selection is going to get fairly fierce!

Go Dees! Great win, we needed that!

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
