No your not, by a long way.  But where we came from (D's) is also relative, talking 50/60's.

Many here were tantalized by stories of this great club, back then, and were then tormented by a lifetime of disappointment.

So truth is if you haven't experienc3ed it then you really don't know the full storyline of emotional hurt.

Us oldies should relate in some way, with the aboriginal storylines of the past 200 + years.

Really??!!

Give us a spell

Trying to claim more merit badges of emotional hurt just because you’ve lived longer is an extremely wanky thing to do. Just saying. Respect for sticking it out this long. There are plenty who haven’t. But don’t be a dick about it.

Also. And I can’t emphasise this enough. Your pain as a football fan is in no way comparable to the pain experienced by our indigenous population. Or any other indigenous population.

I was always told to respect my elders, so I’ll bite my tongue.

Good luck!

If Brisbane unexpectedly field a competent side, then I'll settle for a hard fought win too.  I'm expecting them to field the team of pus they fielded last week though. Make no mistake, they are a hopeless side.

They're not hopeless, they have some good kids coming through but I'm expecting us to come away with a 5 goal win

No. Not to someone comparing the angst of following a footy club to the terrible, murderius persecution of our native peoples.

For you, it is a social outing with your boys, you made that obvious a long time ago...

I was disappointed we lost like everybody else, but had a couple of craft beers and a chat to my lovely lady about the game, she analyses it more than I do, and the sun came up the next day, I keep footy in perspective

If winning is all that counts, your life could be one long disappointment

Winning at all costs led to an idiot blubbering at a Press Conference this week, sympathy nah not for a second

Fine day up here so far. Should be playing on a fast deck. No excuses. Win well boys and play 4 quarters of hard contested and fast footy please. Struggle and your spot maybe in question with plenty showing form yesterday at Casey.

Can a Brissy local remind me of the Gabba dimensions? What other ground does it compare to in width/length? (Too lazy to research!)

the MCG maybe?

the German Club is out so I’m predicting the Aussie Nash to have a big one.

Hogan to kick six.

Is there any chance that Clarry doesn't have a scrap with Rhys Mathieson? And that Zorko and Beams don't have 30 touches and 2 goals each?

Very shortly jumping on a train for the pilgrimage up to the Gabba.  First time I've seen the Dees play live for several years.  Looking forward to it, and expecting a BIG win!

(Taking my Lions supporting neighbour, so should be interesting banter -- especially on the trip home...!)

Go Dees!

I dont think ground dimensions will have anything to do with it if we lose tonight. With due respect to Brissy if we cant win this we may as well plan for next year.

We will win this game by 10 goals or more. You lot are off your chops if you think they will get near us.

Well we played them 3 games ago and they fought back from a 40 point deficit to nearly swipe the game from us.

Glad you are so confident.

How many free kicks to Mathieson for ducking?

Serious;y if thecoaching staff don't tell their players to tackle him around the waist and drive him into the turf I will be pizzed off.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
