Should i be barracking for GW$ tonight?

Only if you believe that will affect how hard Adelaide go this week, or if you think we'll somehow win our way to the Semi-Final and you want us to play the Cats at the G after they lose to GWS in the Qualifying final…or something (I spend too much time on that damn ladder predicter).

Bottom line is…I don't think it really matters. The team that matters played today, and [censored] up big time (sorry Nasher).

I think a lot of the rooting for GWS reflects the attitude problem that is endemic at our club.  Good/great teams don't turn it on and off at will - they always come to play.  I don't think the outcome of tonight's match will have any impact on Adelaide's motivation.

(I would also pee in my own eyes before I hope for a GWS win)

Melbourne there is a team called Geelong playing tonight. They are playing for 2nd spot and a home final. The difference is to you today is they have gone out and will win it.

They didn't choke, they have actually laid tackles and used the ball well. Because they are hungry and desperate for that home final.

Just saying.

On another note Port is giving the suns a bath.

Port to overtake swans on %?

if Tigers win well, They could overtake giants on %?

swans finish 6th....port finish 5th....if we make it play them in Adelaide?

Seems possible, think the Saints might cause an upset though.

Crows have no incentive to play for top spot.

Cue in the rack against the Eagles.

Where are we going for Mad Monday?

Wouldn't surprise me if the Crows rested Sloane tomorrow.

Book your September holidays, folks. Save yourselves the angst and accept that West Coast are going to win. Clearly they have more to play for than our mob.

Gee the suns are a rabble. only 3 goals scored in 4 quarters. 35 scoring shots to 5. I know he isn't responsible for his team mates choices but hasn't Ablett led that team into a rabble. I know he gave up the captaincy last season but the culture has never been that good.

He has probably packed up and come to victoria already.

Did a bang-up job establishing a prayer-circle in the playing group, so there's that.

Ablett's destroyed his integrity in the last few months. It's pretty clear he's giving the club a thinly-veiled middle finger because they're making a trade to Geelong difficult. Seems increasingly likely they'll force him to retire rather than get his way.

From what I understand, the Suns front-loaded his 3 year contract, so they are getting royally screwed if they release him from his contract after only 2 years. Pretty unfair on the Suns if he's already earned ~85% of his contract value and decides to walk.

Looks like the [censored] weren't at skilled stadium, they were at the G in red and blue jumpers.

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
