Trade rumours

Agreed - but only if that increases our chances of winning a flag.

Jack clearly has one or two traits that tip him toward the marginal deficit side of value in Goodwin's eyes. And since the St Kilda game, we have learned that Max has one or two elements to his rucking that bring him back to the pack in the league.

My suggestion here allows for all recruitment and list scenarios, some of which may exclude Jack and/or Max, and may increase the chances of us nabbing a flag: I want to win a flag AND keep max and jack

At the end of the day; a flag is our objective and that is all that matters.

If they trade Max we better be getting one hell of a deal. And I dont mean Lever.

I think if we trade Max it's only because we know their (the AFL in all their wisdom) not only going to do away with the bounce but also get rid of throwing the ball up altogether. At the start of every quarter the ball will be placed in the middle of the center square and both teams will nominate 4 players who have to sprint in to pick the ball up off the ground, they'll also implement the last touch out of bounds rule. At stoppages the umpires will be very quick to call holding the ball, and if they can't decide, each team can nominate 1 player each and they'll arm wrestle to determine who gets the ball.

Please create a weird trade fantasy page if you want to talk about trading Max, because even putting it in the rumour file is a massive stretch. (not having a go at you DSP, not sure who started this carp)

There isn't much point worrying about Hogan leaving. 1. If he did we would get a good deal. 2. If he wanted to leave he'd be no use to us anyway. 3. If he wants to stay he is obviously committed and wants to play.

Hogan isn't the type of player to play for us if he doesn't want to. So there is no point even worrying.

I am more interested in what the go is with the Jack Watts and Christian Salem rumors, and if there is anything to them. There has been talk on here, and in the media about Watts and Salem being up for trade.

At this time of the year, it's all trying to stir the possum to get attention. It's like a ritual.

And everybody remembers the one in ten they might fluke right, while nobody remembers the many stupid guesses they got wrong.

I don't guess thanks, i make up:laugh::lol:

I'd consider it pretty disrespectful to Jesse and the MFC if there's any truth about the WA clubs asking the question regards Hogan again - particularly after the year he's had.

What a way to put further weight on his emotions.

Barrett probably got his intel from Brad Hardie if the muppet didn't make it up himself.

Another move that would make little sense to me.  We have no need of a bloke who is at the tail end of his career and injured all the time.

Not to mention that Griffen (assuming it's Ryan)  wouldn't want anything to do with the guy who coached the Dogs at the time he left them for GWS.

I have heard Griffen might be a chance of joining us

His natural progression is from GWS NEAFL to Carlton.

I'd imagine that he's on big coin and GWS are trying to offload him for next to nothing. I'd still pass.

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
