When was the last time we won 11 games?

Well it sure wasn't years 2012-2014 when we won a total of 12 games (2012=4,2013=2, 2014=4)!

11 wins is our best season for games won since 2006. Here's an extract from the relevant 'afltables.com' page.

Knocking off the Saints gave us 11 wins for the season the most since 2006 when we chalked up 13.  Quite a milestone and we are not finished yet.

Pedersen's contribution yesterday makes you wonder how many extra wins would we have had if he had been selected earlier in the season?

Geelong? (Leading 3/4 time)

Fremantle? (2 points)

Hawthorn? (3 points)

Richmond? (13 points)

Interesting that if we do win our last two games then we will only be 1 win off what we achieved in 2000 when we made the granny.

Plenty of water to run under the bridge this year though, keep it rolling Dees!

I'd like to think at least 1 maybe 2 especially the Haw and Freo games during that time Hoges and Lewis got themselves rubbed out but we have got to remember all that has gone on this year suspensions, illnesses, funerals, deaths, injuries etc i think as a football club we have coped exceptionally well let's not forget all of this.

Yeah for sure. We were without key personnel for a very long time and really how many times this year have we played with a full strength forward line? Its caused a lot of imbalance and I think  we've handed in overall very well.

The trajectory is good and the future bodes well.

We're still a few important jigsaw pieces away.

At the end of next season when Hogan, Oliver, Brayshaw, Petracca, Salem and Hunt have played 50-60 games I reckon we'll start to see some big inroads.

It was Viney's third year that was his breakout and if not for his plantar fascia issue earlier in the year he would have been a much bigger contributor. Same can be said for a host of players who have had significant injuries. Gawn, Jones and Hoges obviously.

But as I said. The 50-100 game mark is where we'll start seeing some serious improvement from our young guns.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
