Great to hear, but hardly surprising though.  Was sad to see Jordie go, always gave 110% out on the field and hard as a cats head.  Was a pitty his skills weren't quite up to senior AFL standard, but it's clear he is a good footballer.

A fierce competitor who gets the best out of himself. I'm really glad to hear he is doing well!

Thanks for the update Elwood

She was good in that role. Very genuine. She has a bubbly personality which I didn't find annoying, which is uncommon.

Didn't mind Jordie but unfortunately wasn't AFL standard. Wasn't much else to choose from in that Draft, though, and we ended up with Garlett anyway.

Jordie tried but was a few skills short of AFL. Lovely bloke though.

I was leaving training at Gosch's one day and Jordie was doing some additional skill drills with Daniel Cross . I asked him if this was the footy equivalent of kp. He looked confused for a moment and then the penny dropped and he burst out into a hearty laugh and wished me well.

As I said lovely bloke.

Yeah but the content she presented was pox.

Good on you Jordie we all applauded your efforts and determination, lacked the necessary support to improve those critical skills required to make it at AFL level, if he came through now he probably would have had a real chance to make it.

Always gave his best.  Can't ask more than that.  Regrettably, wasn't quite good enough on the big stage.  But, very pleased to hear he has had a great year in his new comp.  Always had a soft spot for Jordie.  Good on him!

Needless to say he won the Coaches Award as well.

Well done to Jordie on his b & f but I'm not a fan of giving the coaches award at a club to the b & f winner. The b & f is essentially the coach's award. Spread them around I say.

well done jordie

all those saying he wasn't afl level seem to be missing the point. anyone who plays 79 games is obviously afl level. most here would give their left one just to play 1 game. i also don't understand why in a thread congratulating jordie, so many posters seem to want to add this misguided comment. relevance?

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
