Totally disagree.  But I can't be bothered arguing it today with you Stuie as I don't have the energy to go round and round and round in circles.

Cheers.

Good way to start the pre-season. Will be good to know that everybody's full of confidence...

I applaud Roos and what he's done for the club, but unfortunately, I'm not going to miss him in the coaches box. Nothing seems to be working.

No....not a lot

It is pretty obvious that Gawn and Viney are cooked and Vince and Jones are playing lame. I wish nothing more than Salem having a full run at it next year, he has a great balance of class and hardness. Bugg, Vanders, Matt Jones nothing but ok depth. If Hogan doesn't request to go home I will be more so wondering whether he can actually be close to the player we thought he could be. Refuses to lead or chase and does nothing but point and shake his head.

This will get ugly but unlike most I wont let a game that means nothing at end of season to sour what has been another year developing in the right direction.

What's happened to Viney?

His last few games have been pretty ordinary

Yay, this discussion again!

I'm looking forward to the Demonland off season so I can stop reading this garbage.

Ess is about to play itself out of the first Draft Pick!!

Worsfold will have to put a dozen players on the bench to make sure their %age doesn't go up too far or to lose.

I would laugh and laugh if Ess give up pick 1...even better if Lions get a priority pick and Ess drop to pick 3!!

I really understand the frustration today but people having a crack at Roos are being ridiculous.

To put us into perspective when he took over - we won less games that year than Essendon will this year, and they've got 8 of their best 22 unavailable all year.

I think reality checks required.

Whilst we have shown a hint of incremental improvement I can't for the life of me equate this season as successful.

We're just a different type of rabble today.

Putrid.

I don't think we'll be that lucky.  I'm more annoyed at how we're playing because the usual suspects will [censored] and moan about this loss for 6 months.  Forget the strides we've made throughout the season, as apparently one poor loss can somehow wipe it all away.

Let's just hope Hogan looks back on this year as a good learning experience. Never once really got going.

Viney is only effective when Gawn is controlling.

Well, Roos did his job, technically, but he's still got two quarters left to leave a mark.  Players' heads are their weakest area and if anything a head coach gets that right, like he did with the monks in Sydney.

This is not a game with 'nothing' to play for, if you give a rats about the club's story.  This is as bad an ending as you could imagine for a coach who has 'returned the club to respect'.

Yep. "Last thing we saw" syndrome is the worst when you're frozen in it for 5 months.

Sigh. Come on Melbourne and lift, if nothing else to spare us fans some grief.

Just so, so mentally slow. Miskicks virtually by everyone. Battled hard for a while in that second but still didn't look like scoring. At least Salem got involved a bit there

I've had a guts full already of this garbage.  Big thanks to Paul Roos.

Geelong very good, look better than Hawthorn for mine. Could go close if they can produce this kind of footy across the finals.

Dangerfield could just about beat Brisbane all by himself. Remarkable.

So why isn't Bernie Vince tagging him?

Viney and Hogan are two of our very best players. One has hit a horrible form patch, the other honestly doesn't look like he cares that much.

My advice would be to do this:

the simpsons bart simpson awkward bye nope

You can still do that rather than keep posting about how annoying it is that people keep posting...

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
