A must win next week on our home turf and against a side who are missing plenty of key players.

Do we make any changes? I guess it all depends on how the players pull up and what happens down at Casey, but we might go in unchanged after yesterday's effort.

Fire away with the changes!

Whats the point playing Garland or Dunn?

So Oscar can go back to Casey with the other underdeveloped players on the list, and we can stand a seasoned AFL defender against one of their tall strong bodied forwards.

Or in other  words, so we don't concede the automatic 2-4 goals that O Mac is responsible for each week with his brain fades and lack of body strength.

O Mac surely comes out. Roos was speculating on giving him a rest for the remaining weeks prior to the match. The better of Dunn or Garland to come in.

Harmes would be the other one I'd be looking at to make way if anyone stands out for Casey. Michie a possibility as it stands just on weight of performances.

Normally after the effort yesterday I wouldn't make any changes but there will be sore boys from that game

i think a lot will depend on today's game in the vfl.

o mac had another barry crocker, and looked crocked into the bargain, while dawes just doesn't do anything like enough. could we see one veteran come in (dunn, garland) to replace an inexperienced back, and an inexperienced forward (weideman, hulett) come in for a veteran forward? i'm still of the opinion that we're a lot more threatening when we have three key forwards rotating around the forward half rather than simply hogan and watts, so i want to maintain that structure if possible.

brayshaw must stay in the side but i am surprised by how poor his skills are. he misses targets by hand and foot far, far too regularly for such a highly-rated kid. anb simply doesn't get involved enough at afl level, but he deserves more than one opportunity to go in then out.

i imagine kennedy will bang on the door with another dominant vfl performance as he's simply too good for that level.

If it's a dry track, I wouldn't mind seeing how we go with Spencer and Gawn in the side. Get Max/Spencer to play as the 2nd tall and Watts can play all game as a floating 3rd forward where he's more dangerous.

Dawes was better than Hogan

I agree. But Hogan just needs to go back to what he's good at, playing for free kicks inside 50.

We have lost games this year by playing an underweight/inexperienced defensive line. If that's the masterplan so be it but it is clearly at the expense of winning games.

I am no Garand fan. In fact far from it but I would rather him than OMac at this point. And surely Dunn cant be that stupid as to not follow instructions from the coaches.

Winning games for this team will do more than playing OMac and losing games. He has had plenty of game time and knows what to do to get his body right. I am unconvinced of his footy talents but he is simply a liability against stronger opponents and we are gifting goals to the opposition each week.

Finishing the year with 10 wins will be better than fininshing on 7 wins and getting 5 games into Oscar. Just get him to the gym for the next 3 months and tell him to put on 15kgs if they love him that much.

No change. Test the resolve.

If yesterday really hurt, they ought to come out breathing fire against GC Scums for a 10 goal win.

I don't necessarily disagree with the first paragraphs, but the second one is both unfair and simply not true.

Oscar is so unfairly maligned on here that some people would only find his performance acceptable if the opposition kicked zero goals.

Every time the opposition kicks a goal, Demonland looks for someone to blame, as though keeping a clean sheet is even possible in this game.

I'm sure Oscar has been put on this earth to annoy Melbourne supporters.  Last week he looked like he was injured & would miss a couple of games then he makes a miraculous recovery & plays anyway.

No unforced changes for this week.

Especially wanna see ANB get an extended run on the seniors.

Oscar is due for a spell (yes, I have been saying this for weeks now)

He cost us 3 goals yesterday because he isn't strong enough yet.

Oscar 4 Dunn.

OMac for Pedo only change for mine. If any other change forced, I would like to see Oliver get another run.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
