So annoyed that the crows get a 10 day break before playing us. It'll nullify any of our freshness. They have basically received 2 byes.

Aw bugger, hadn't thought of that.

Scotty Thompson (yes I know he left and we got Mahoney etc etc) but there is a good example of a solid B+ player who plays a decent game week in week out and has the occasional blinder

Oh to have a few like him at the Dees

PS He may be slowing down now but it is his 16th season !!!

Brad Scott....lol.

Brad does not endear himself that's for sure. Nor does his brother but I think Brad shades him at the post . Two undearing twins.

Be hard to beat The Camry Crows next week

And their supporters have already become insufferable.  A shocking mob. Their hate of Vicorian clubs knows no limits although their hate of Port Adelaide has no end.

At the 'G, we'll give it a shake.

I did a ladder predictor today and we took North's spot in the 8.

Admittedly we won 7 games after the bye but I'd love to make it at North's expense.

That's interesting - I did one and West Coast in 8th were three games clear of Port in 9th...

That would be supremely boring.

Not unlikely though, West Coast are already two games clear now as it is - and with Essendon up next, so that's not going to change soon.  The top 8 is all but settled already.

If you're in to ladder watching, our job from now is at best to nab 9th from Port, and at worst, defend 10th from Carlton and St Kilda (who play GWS and Geelong respectively this week).  I think it's highly likely that we'll remain 10th and not move at all for the remainder of the season.

Don't forget Dean Kent, you can't look sideways at a red and blue jumper without him giving you a bit of what for.

Deffinatley a bit of that 'arrogant' Hawthorn streak in what we are building, the playing group drew a line in the sand somewhere and won't be pushed around anymore

We started this game and over the next few years I hope we remind people why.

GWS are a worry though...

GWS could easily finish 4th this year and challenge next year. Yhey are 2-3 years ahead of us in development

40 shots on goal from 59 inside 50's!  that has to be a record conversion rate.  they should have won by 10 goals +

north will keep sliding - they are weak and once they drop in a year or two they'll be there a while  :-)

North have a lot of injuries to be fair.....Waite, Higgins, Wells to name but a few.    Thought they should have won against Hawthorn last week except for their bad kicking for goal.   They are not the basket case some are painting them to be.

Dont think anyone reckons they are a basket-case right now or this season BD, just that they arent  a contender

And considering how old their list is and lack of young talent,   they will be stuffed for a long long time post 2016

Holy smokes. I went to bed at 3 quarter time, and I knew Adelaide were on top in general play, but 40 scoring shots to 17? What a drubbing.

Adelaide move the ball really well and are enjoyable to watch really.  Going to be very tough to beat.

Love watching North lose :)

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
