Just watched this segment for the second time. Melbourne was not mentioned again. It's as though these [censored] have as much amnesia about the Demons as the French have about their German ancestry, witness Charlemagne, alias Carl Der Grosse.

They're not the only ones - next to nothing on 360 or On The Couch, either :/

360 talked about gawn. OTC talked about mfc having a collection of high level talent. Petracca. Viney, Oliver, brawshaw and Hogan could be premiership worthy if Hogan stays. Jbrown would offer 15mil over 10 if he was freo. Best under 21 yo player.

Sacre Blue, you aren't the grand handstander, the bane of Ron Barasssi's life, the thumper of Robbie, the alleged locker room thief at St Kilda, the victim who finally retaliated at the merciless Hawthorn snipers and caused poor Leigh to assault Bews?

What's there to mention?  We're only 4-3, havent beaten anyone of genuine quality yet, still inconsistent at best, hell even Carlton have put together longer winning streaks.

we will get the praise when there is something to praise. We're improving but still a bloody long way to go.

I like being the underdog. Like a horse race, I am wary of a favourite. Naturally if we keep winning we are going to go into matches as favourites more often than not, but happy with a low profile and slow emergence. As for the football media , I do not give a toss. They are imbeciles and best not listened to anytime anywhere. They are completely fickle and most of the time dumb. They talk off the top of their head and rarely have opinions that matter.  We certainly do not need others to talk us up.

We beat North. The scoreboard just didn't ultimately reflect that.

Have to agree. I've grown to dislike him over time due to his perceived arrogance, but he actually makes the show watchable again. The Hutchison/Barrett combo was deplorable, Lloyd is average and Caro talks little about the actual football.

Unlike Hutchison and Barrett, Judd's analysis was reasoned and without hyperbole.

Dermie on SEN earlier today was right into the Dees.  Interestingly, he posed a hypothetical question to the other hosts, if the bottom ten teams were to hold a mini comp right now, who would wind up in the grand final.  Instant universal response was Dees and Saints.  They all agreed that those two sides are a cut above the rest as far as the bottom ten go.

Had my dees scarf on at work yesterday and a passer by struck up some conversation with me. Said the dees are one of his favourite teams to watch when his team (Geelong) isn't playing. Exciting brand of footy when it works.

If the media aren't noticing us, other fans are!

Frankly who cares what the paid mouthpieces are saying. It's like a child saying look at me, look at me. Craving some kind of respect.

We have beaten no-one (well , maybe GWS) and I'd be far happier for us to stay out of the media and the limelight and let our performances do the talking. We are coming from a long way back in terms of respect. Let's not be arrogant tossers because as we have shown this season, we can put in a shocker every few weeks.

Let this team develop winning habits and good training standards without fanfare.

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
