Was just unfair.  The umpires gifted North the game.

I [censored] hate that team and their pathetic cry baby coach.  Bunch of pretenders

Glad I couldn't watch it, as the combination of bias umpiring, Brent Harvey kicking 6 and North winning a close one would have pushed me over the [censored] edge.

Sounds like a decent effort at least after last week. But again why did we let them kick 8 in a row? It's [censored] like that we need to eradicate out of our DNA so that we can stop chasing impossible wins.

Showed good grit to get back into it and but held out my a more mature and experienced side. We were spent in the last and with that went the run and execution. The frustration now is when we are on with the inside and outside balance we are breathtaking to watch but we fall into old way too quickly. Take that effort and style in and you win most weeks.

I'm really looking forward to the day they completely drop off a cliff and fall back to the bottom.

Have the oldest list and are not likely to win the flag.

Well said. Umpires went blind when we were due for free kicks. Very proud of the boys. Go Dees

Overall free kicks even.

but the decision not to pay the mark to Harmes at the end was a disaster, compounded by the absurd free to Goldstein in the second quarter. It's not the number of frees but where u get them

Theft. 6 goals from frees. Many doubtful. Frees not given to us. Marks not given to us. Few mistakes and it takes three over 34 year olds to give them about 12 goals.

Excluding the first quarter, THAT is the intensity we must bring to every, single game.

It is the standard that'll see us win the next 3 in a row.

Fancy letting that little runt get 6.0. You'd be hard press to find an easier 6 goals.

Hate to say it but we should have had all the run in the last and to have fewer rotations available was yet another major coaching error. We were getting smashed in the last and that should have been expected given North's experience. The game was ultimately lost in that 10-minute window, half-way through the last, while we were trying to slow down our rotations to stretch them out. They had more run and it showed.

Also, Dunn is finished. I am so sick of him and Garland dumbing up our team so damn much. You have a game there to be won and you look sideways. Astonishing. Just a dumb footballer. Can't wait until the final weeds of the Daniher and Bailey eras are pulled out of this club. Massive liability down back, once again. That mis-timed jump as Boomer and two other North players fell behind was just astonishing. Should have stayed grounded. 10-year experienced player making a rookie mistake.

Anyone know how many goals they got from frees? Be interesting to know

1000.

Also the amount of times I'd have watched this game if we won.

I'm so angry.

Also would more funds fix this site / get a new one? I'll chuck in, this site is a lemon.

Jaded effort at the contest in first was pretty good but we turned it over and they killed us on the outside and were kicking with a big wind. Cant say I was happy at quarter time but the score made it look worse than the application.

Really good effort. Two clangers from Watts and Vanders cost us. Umpiring was a disgrace. Frost, M Jones not up to it and must go. Wagner not ready. Looking forward to Garlett, Brayshaw, ANB and Petracca coming in.

LOL loss 16 against a mob of pretenders, and some are trying to blame it on the umpires.............. again............

MFC have WAY too many supporters who are too easy to please.

Glad the sugar-coaters fund this chit. Means i can keep saving the money i would have spent on membership for stuff i actually enjoy.

This was a statement game believe it or not. Makes me laugh.

Or not.

Geez, the umpires better be careful. Gave us a rough run in rnd 1, we're appalling and had real impact in rnd 3...

One thing you couldn't wish on anyone is the pent-up rage of 1000 years of Demon frustration suddenly turning to you and holding you responsible!

Meanwhile, some congratulations are in order -

Jazk Ziebell, 19 tackles, equalling Jude Bolton's all-time record.

Max Gawn 63 hitouts, equal 4th of all time.

Brent Harvey (you utter, utter, jammy bstrd) outright career-high goals. Should we take comfort that we were beaten by a once-in-412-games achievement?

Gawn monstered Goldy in the ruck, but Goldy did the job around the ground, including a couple of soft goals from frees. What a battle, 172 SuperCoach points each.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
