Was listening to the Run Home on SEN last night and Jon Ralph and the boys were talking about the possible make up of the final 8 this year.

Ralph mentioned 3 teams that simply will not play finals this year - Carlton, Brisbane, and Melbourne. He then went on to mention that while he gives the Dons a slight chance, he said they'll probably miss out in the end.

So basically he rates us lower than a side that will be missing 10 of their best 22 all season.

Please prove him wrong, Dees!

Ah, old serious looking, squinty, cross-eyed Ralphy.  The same turnip who questioned Melbourne's decision to  trade a 20-something pick for Frost at the expense of drafting young talent without realising the trade also netted Alex Neal-Bullen and Oscar McDonald.

In the end we got 3 players for that 20-something pick.

Given the way we attract humiliation like a rotting carcass attracts blowflies it is not on beyond the realms of possiblity.  Though last season was a reasonable effort for the past decade we had more than our fair share of disgraceful performances.  I hope it is not the case this coming season but will not be surprised if we make Essendon look better than us given our track record.

Sad but true. If ever a team can [censored] up an apparent certainty - we can!

What I would like to know is why have the umpires been paid off so early this year that would give our worthy sycophants their fervour.

Just a touch on reality though there will be some interesting decisions this year in a few very uninteresting games

Without doubt Ralph has said one of the most bafonic things in recent memory. On top of losing 10 (??) of their best 22 they have also traded out Melksham/Carlisle/Ryder over the past two seasons. They are a team of kids and retirees.

Snatching defeat from the very jaws of victory : has been too often true.

Hopefully that will be dispatched to the vaults of history, to keep the integrity of the game, and trust and honesty company.

Hahahahahahahahahah :P alot would have to go right for us to make the 8 i think, but to suggest we aren't in with less of a chance then Essendon reflects an unhealthy level of delusion.

Essendon will win the spoon.

    TRAINING: Wednesday 13th November 2024

A couple of Demonland Trackwatchers braved the rain and headed down to Gosch's paddock to bring you their observations from the second day of Preseason training for the 1st to 4th Year players.
