The club has just announced that Mark Jamar will not be offered another contract for 2016. Thanks for the 14 years of service Mark. You'll always be a beloved figure at the club. I hope you get another opportunity elsewhere.

Thanks Russian...all the very best mate

Doubt he will get a chance elsewhere due to the age factor.
He has had a pretty good career considering where he started. It's a shame this decision wasn't made the same time that the call was made on Crossy as it would have been nice for Russian to get a farewell game.
Anyway well done Mark. It's a shame the club didn't deliver success while you were here (mostly). You are part of the MFC family now and are always welcome back.

We haven't had too many All Australians to boast of in recent times which places him in pretty exclusive company.

Cheers Russian. Good luck with the next chapter.

Yep I would like to add my congratulations on a fine career!

Well Done Mark!

On a similar note, when will the club announce the probable demise of Jordy, Dean Terlich, and others??

Surely sooner than later I would hope?!

Great servant of the club through bad times. Was limited as a player but gave his all. Thanks.

Has been shiopping himself around for a while now so I suspect the club told him some time ago....

A club could do worse than to pick him up as insurance. Still pretty fit...

Great servant. Hope he calls it quits - the VFL reports suggest he has trouble getting around the ground now.

Respected as a future ruck coach. It would be good to see him to go down that path and be a one club player.

Loved the tap work, and the powerful presence he could be in the air generally when 'on', per his highlights on the Club site (tried not to look at the scorelines tho!). Fare well, Mark.

Frankly I would love to see the Russian and Crossy join Byrnes at Casey (and maybe even Bail, M. Jones, McKenkie and Terlich). Be good if they could all keep playing with their MFC teammates and bring home a VFL Premiership!

I have 5 jumpers with the number 40 on the back - sad day, time to pick a new number.

I've heard number 1 goes alright :)

Congratulations to the big Russian.

Gave his all, worked hard, got every inch of talent out of himself.

A shame he didn't get a farewell game.

Thanks Russian for all your great work you did at our club. If you do find yourself at another club then I wish you all the best and success. Now we just hope that Maxy doesnt go down or we are in strife.

Great servant, and thoroughly deserved his AA year. We haven't had many. He waited his time through the White years and progressed well learning his trade. Solid career.

Got it out of himself.

His AA year was a huge surprise and a lot of fun to watch.

All the best.

I don't overlook the fact that he stayed true to the club when every one of his best mates buggered off as soon as they were FAs.

Didn't do much media, but always struck me as being articulate and intelligent. He would make a good coach I think.

Thanks Russian. Good luck if you decide to try and kick on.

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
