I am. It appealed the the blue sky junky in me: that the club thought there was enough to work with to persevere.

Not unhappy with the club cutting its losses either though. He's been disappointing.

Yes. However, it is interesting that we [censored] him off so quickly. Is footy becoming ever more cutthroat? Perform or die!

The wheel will turn full circle and in a couple of seasons time we'll have the other player from that draft back from Port Adelaide and in the red and blue.

Hate to reign on yours but he was drafted 2012.

1 under Neeld

2 under Roos

= 3

Hate to rain on your parade but Al was speaking of concurrent years not consecutive!

I wish him well.

Will be more difficult to crack a run in the seniors for the Power than it has been for the Dee's.

So Jay Clark was not correct.

Theres a shocker.

Leon Cameron was on the radio tonight denying Clarks report (or is that fantasy?) that GWS would give up pick 8 for Essendons 23 and 25.

I'm relieved Toumpas is gone so I can stop hoping he will become an afl player when I know he never will.

Toumps latest tweet

I am so excited though to start fresh at the @PAFC! A club that is based around hard work. It's a journey I can't wait to begin!

Not so sure about what he means..

He then replied to a moronic Carlton supporter saying it was only in reference to Port and nothing against Melbourne.

Ports inside mids: Boak, Gray, Wines,........... Colquhoun, Moore

Outside mids: Ebert, Polec,....... White.........., Young, Mitchell

Forward mid: S Gray, Monfries, Amon, Ah Chee,

Half back: Hartlett

If Port use Hartlett at half back (or rotate him with Polec) then they probably aren't as deep as some think through the middle. A fantastic top 5 mids that's for sure. The bottom couple of spots in their midfield mix is fairly open with quite a few guys fighting for games and not cementing a spot. I think the Toump might actually get a decent run if he can string together some good SANFL footy.

I don't want him to make us look silly by being a star but I wish him all the best and think if he does make a career for himself it's a good thing not a bad thing. The circumstances weren't looking good for him staying here.

Another top 5 draftee lost... what a waste. A disappointment. The clean up of the Neeld years continues.

We still need to get rid of Hogan.

Having slept on it i must admit i am bit disappointed we just traded him off for basically nothing. While we are more then happy to hold on to Watts who has given us half ass efforts every game for 7 years, give 2 year deals to Terlich and Jones and yet after 3 years we just trade out a former pick 4 kid who i actually thought this year he was showing glimpses.. Not sure why we didn't just back our development in?

I wish Toump all the best but i have a yuk feeling this could come back and bite us big time..

Toumpas needed a fresh start, and this will likely kick start his career.

I wish him well. We got it wrong at pick 4, now we move on. Good luck to him.

I would have been disappointed to trade him just to trade him but we targeted a kid from the same draft year to play a similar role but who has better characteristics from a footy standpoint, in Ben Kennedy.

I look at it like Kennedy slightly improves the list at the expense of Toumpas and Melksham does the same (and a bit more) with Howe.

Let's see what we can do with ND6, 29, 46, 50, and 64.

Exactly how i read it.

Toumpas couldn't get a game when half the senior 22 was injured.

We have improved the list with picks to come....

It will be interesting to see how Toumpas goes in Port Adelaide. In a better team, might find that he improves a player. Can see him as someone helping Pittard coming off the half back line allowing for hartlett to come into the midfield.

    TRAINING: Monday 20th January 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
