Well done Jesse!

One can never take the Rising Star Award too seriously - just take it for the bit of fun that it is.

With that said, he is the most talented Demon since Schwarz; he will win us a lot lot of games off his own boot.

If he maintains his form he(Hogan) will win it and Gus will be pushing for a nomination soon. Hogan was better last week but that's the AFL playing catch up. On this weeks effort the 3 Crows Lever, Kelly and Matt Crouch are unlucky

Gets the best defender every single week and right now would be top 3 in our B&F, even having missed a game.

A far smarter footballer than Neitz and much more physical than Schwarz. Will become an AFL superstar.

Btw, I'm not denigrating Neitz or Schwarz as they're rightly club icons and were great players.

I don't think he will win it due to how crap we are and the fact teams already send their best defender to him and double team him.

In my opinion he's a certainty, subject to playing 20 games, or close to it.

Agreed. 2 goals a game, with said getting the best defender and getting double teamed etc. Also hasn't gone goalless yet.

Clearly the most promising young player in the game.

With Heeney having missed so many games, I reckon he's the best value bet

Neitz and Schwarz are club greats.

Hogan will be a great of the game.

Jesse would be well aware of where the RS sits in the pecking order of AFL awards. He seems very level headed, and would know that if he continues to work hard, learn as he goes and stay fit, there are far more prestigious awards and rewards ahead of him. The bigger the stage, the more he will thrive.

I agree, can't wait to see him on Monday.

I'd just like to say also, this kid gets me genuinely excited to go to the footy again! Even after the Hawks game I wanted to go the Footscray game just to see him play.

Yep, i agree. Backed him before the weekend, annoyed i missed the $8 at the beginning of the season but he is still great value at $3.50.

A big plus is RS is voted on by the All-Australian selection panel, which last year comprised Gillon McLachlan (chairman), Mark Evans, Danny Frawley, Warren Tredrea, Glen Jakovich, Cameron Ling, Luke Darcy, Matthew Richardson, Kevin Bartlett and Kevin Sheehan (Rising Star selector only).

Mostly ex players who i reckon will love Jessie's competitiveness. An his consistency means he will be in people's mind all season

It's hard to keep people watching the dribble that is terrestial tv news, so they needed to spice it as much as they could

I watched him here in Alice Springs live and he is heads and shoulders above anybody else on our list. He is a serious talent and no doubt Peter Jackson will try and sign him on a Tom Boyd type deal sometime next year. He is that good that he could play midfield and do some real damage.

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
