good bye chris dawes waste of space

Classic Dees, playing teams into some great form.

Some of the 'chasing' efforts I've seen been token efforts at best. Jones, Tyson, Watts just jogging along, no intensity.

Just concede the game Melbourne, you're embarrassing the league.

At least JKH shows some intensity around the ball, could have used him today.

GWS had an unbelievable quarter. Some of those goals were freakish.

The disappointing thing as a Dees fan is our inability to find leaders. Let's not have a leadership group if no one stands up on the ground.

Jones looks injured. H, Cross, Dunn - experienced players need to stand up.

Melbourne stopped running. That's the only reason for the change in momentum. Viney is the only player having a crack the rest should hang their heads with that performance since quarter time.

Howe has been terrible if Newton didn't get knocked out he should've been subbed off.

Can't win it out of the middle either. Combine that with no running and that's why they've dominated.

Last week showed we can beat sides that don't turn up to play but GWS has come to play. What an awesome midfield. Pace, toughness and skill in spades.

A pity that GWS is a soulless, irrelevant footy club that no one is interested in while the Dees have so many long-term die-hard fans and rich history.

I blame James Brayshaw. If North (another slightly irrelevant footy club) had taken the cash and set up in the Gold Coast, GWS would never have been born...

In: JKH

Out: Dawes

A new low in game-day posting?

They didn't get 9 goals to zilch because of Chris Dawes.

McDonald and Viney have played well - anyone else?

Last week we couldn't find a poor player, this week we've hardly got anyone who's stood up. A reminder of how much work needs doing with this list.

This reply is depressing so when does todays game start?

I am absolutely fuming with this effort since midway through the second quarter. Once again a bunch of Melbourne players getting ahead of themselves and thinking it's just gonna happen. Shows an extremely weak mindset to 1) think this in the first place and 2) not being able to do anything to arrest the momentum once it swings against us.

I thought these might be behind us. Damn last week. Damn you for getting my hopes up that we were going to be an ok team that would compete.

Well the reality check came a little sooner than expected. And from GWS of all teams.

Back to being the joke of the league. At least Carlton will take some of the heat from us.

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
