I'm not sure any of these trades will have much impact in 2015 and beyond.

Lamumba might release Howe forward and he has probably got a starting spot for the next two years at the Dees.

Clark might or might not play. Certainly a bloke his size who plays the way he does is inviting injury.

Varcoe - not sure how he fits in Collingwood's best 22. Half back? Defensive small forward?

ZZZzzzz.

Are you kidding me?

Two of their best performers from last season for a bloke that has played one good season at North, Travis Varcoe and Pick 5?

If they get Pick 5 right and if Greenwood becomes their 3rd best mid - then they win.

Otherwise, their slide will long continue.

I think the Pies have lost honestly.

Beams is an absolute star and Lamumba (or whatever his name is) I believe was an All- Australian.

Varcoe is average at best, Greenwood has had one good year but I think will be a solid citizen, pick 5 and Crisp are unknowns.

I'd be filthy if I was a scum supported

Fair points. Without question they have are down with the loss of Beams.

I guess I was only surprised with how much they got back. You two have put it in a little better perspective for me.

Mitch Clark is a [censored] and I wish him nothing but injury and misfortune for the rest of his career. He made many of us believe in him and that he cared about the MFC but as we now know his whole personality is a fraud and he used his "depression" as an excuse to get out of the club and move on elsewhere. Whether we wanted him on the list or not is besides the point, Clark should of put his hand up to be on a rookie list and work hard on the off season to prove he deserved a spot in order to repay all we did for him. Instead he packed his suitcase full of cash and [censored] off to Geelong to take some more photos. Up ya ar$e Mitch, break a leg!

We may or may not be winners, but we're the most sure about what we're getting. I'm happy.

I'm somewhat bemused that it took so long though given the relative lack of complexity of the deal

Reported that Varcoe wanted 4 years but only got offered three = hold up

I'll take at face value that Clark's medical advice was not to return to his old workplace as to do so might risk a return of depression. On that basis, Clark was never coming back to us and we've effectively got Lumumba for nothing. I can't see how that's a negative for us.

I don't know why, maybe it's finally set in but now for once I feel infuriated with Clark going to the Cats. Maybe it was the poorly Photoshopped image, I'm not sure.

Now (to me anyway) he is nothing more that a feral moggy that swipes at the hand that feeds him.

Photoshopped?! I thought that was a pic he set up himself by the quality of it...

I wish no such physical or mental misfortune on him. I just hope he olays sh it against us if he can ever get on the park.

Scully and Clark are synonyms for deceit and Pecksniffs.

SCully's a saint compared to the latter filthy piece of turd.

Horatio is a different cat. But he fronts up every week.

He trains hard, prepares well and gets the best from himself.

There's no surprises for us. He'll carry it 20 and bomb it 50 to no one. But that's an upgrade on captain Jack kicking tumble punts out on the full.

And still no comment from MC to the fans who supported him so whole wholeheartedly. Nothing. Nada. Zip. To be honest that is what i find so disappointing. Take the motion out of it and players change clubs.

As i have said he doesn't owe the club anything, no more than the clubs owes something to someone like Clisby who we cut or to contracted players we may soon sack. But i reckon he does owe something to demons fans. He owes us some sot of explanation. Something more than 'yeah i would love to play for the dees again' and then complete media silence. That is what has made me lose respect for him.

Welcome to the Dees, H! Like others, I choose to view this in a positive light. Lumumba is essentially a freebie since I never thought Clark was coming back. Collingwood get ripped off and end up giving a list clogger three years. It's a good day.

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
