The only stupid thing I see is you, yet again, being in such a rush to be condescending that you quoted something he didn't even say.

"If Shaw doesn't go to Geelong, he'll be a Dee."

Look up post #2933. Page 118.

You're so thick Stu it really is shooting fish in a bucket.

Second dumbest poster I've come across on any forum.

Why are people getting so frustrated and aggressive, as a result of MC's posts? Grow up, it's just a bit of fun.

Why do you care ?

Well. I come on to the trade/draft rumour thread and I wonder. Hmm, which players are rumoured to be on their way to the MFC? It doesn't matter if it doesn't happen. It's just a little bit of fun. Unfortunately, I then have to wade through copious posts of people whinging and in your case Ben, rather aggressively and needlessly. It's not the end of the world, but I'd prefer not to.

I like rumours too, but cast iron declarations without merit give me the shts.

Unfortunately I'm not a care free fool. But by all means be happy you're you.

That is correct. The only two clubs seriously interested in getting Shaw are us and Geelong.

We are meeting up with him to see where his preference is at and where he sees his footballing future.

If Geelong don't pick him up, he'll become a Demon most likely, unless a 3rd team pops up late like a North or Rich and swoops.

It's your stupid declarations, such as "will be", that makes me want to snap you.

Quotations are generally used for actual quotes. I'm not sure what year you left high school, or if you even made it that far, but clearly you were absent that day.

You should concentrate more on contributing rather than being such a condescending pr#*k all the time. Especially seeing you muck it up so often.

Don't bother buddy. Since day one that guy has strived to make this BenHurLand. I think if you take into consideration his profile pic and his standard condescending posts it's clear the type of person he is.

Can we talk about draft rumours again?

The problem supporters have about trade period is they want GOLD but only give away TIN, the top clubs are now taking the Swans way of doing things draft for what you want not whats best out there, look where that has got us, we need midfield players and if that means paying overs to get what they want so be it until we become a club that can develop players to fill the void.

What will week two offer, week one was a non event I expect more of the same this week. We don't find out until 5.30 on Friday the Free agent compo picks, for us you would expect a Band 3 for Sylvia but it could also be a band 4, this will impact on how active we trade. Band 3 is approx pick 21 Band 4 will be approx pick 39. I can't see us being involved in executing any trades until next week.

I'd be thrilled if more people posted actual rumours instead of sniping at each other and debating irrelevant crap.

But aren't most rumours irrelevant crap? ;-)

I would presume it'll be band 4, unfortunately.

I don't know about that...

Sylvia wouldn't be on a lot, but he wouldn't go to be on peanuts. $350-400K maybe?

He's on a 3 year deal.

He finished top 5 in the B&F.

That's band 3 for mine.

Would still be a far better option than Byrnes as our small forward.

a sad fact that !!

We are desperate for ready to go mids and don't really want to wait for Aish or Kelly to play 50 games before they can have a big impact on games, I think we should aim higher with our pick 2, which I think is what you are saying. At worst we will be getting a quality mid with our pick 2. With our results since 2006 and trade history in mind I think Shiel will be a good way to use our pick 2. But why would GWS want to give him up just to pick up another mid.... What do we have that they would want?

Throw in Jamar?

That's the problem....two of the same?

Having said that Byrnes has impacted in 2013 more than Jetta for their respective clubs.

Also, the rumour's left field as how can we swap for a pick? Essendon are out of this draft....

As I understand it, Essendon can still trade for higher picks... they just lose their allocated picks.

How could it possibly be band 4 unless all guidelines are ignored as with the PP.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
