The dogs of war

What an absolute joke. The dogs of war came out and howled for blood. They crowded around, waiting for any morsel. And they were proven to be complete fools.

The sports media in this country are appalling. If there is no story, they create it. They build up innuendo and here say to a level of frenzy. That simply make stuff up.

Shame, all of you, shame.

I'm glad you were left today with egg on your face (or is it Caros nuts on your chin?). Who are you going to turn on next?

Hint for next time: you report the stories, you don't make them up, and you are not the story. See you Next Tuesday, all of you.

I wouldn't say 7 loses by more than 10 goals from 10 outings is really making much up.

There's a reason we are in the spotlight and as much as I wish if weren't true it's not a personal vendetta from journos.

It's just a reflection on where we are and what the football world thinks is tolerable.

What's worse is you all fall for it

The thing is in weeks time if Neeld gets the arse they will be all gloating and saying "I called his weeks ago!"

Actually, I called this at round 5, 2012.

It's bloody obvious he can't coach.

By all accounts Young Lib Damien Barrett got it wrong completely. Don't worry, he'll have an alternate script ready to go.

What the hell has him being a young Lib got to do with anything you hipster dweeb?

All true. Reports of dozens camped outside Aami stadium since early this morning, bored senseless all day, making complete fools of themselves, crossing back to wherever they came, to report...nothing!

Remember a couple of weeks ago, back page story Cotchin says he will give it up if and when they win a premiership, media talked nonstop about the implications of said statement, and then days later discussed the media's treatment of the treatment of said story. Insane! They are a joke, but I guess so are we all, because we are the ones that consume it. I'm embarrassed, but can't help myself...

Best part of today was the image in my brain of the media just waiting and waiting and waiting for something to happen, and in the end their scoop was that PJ has joined full time till 2014. I reckon a few of them would've gone up a couple of levels in Angry Birds while they were passing the time.

Ha Ha.

Funny thing about young Libs-they never really have a childhood.

They know they want to be serious young insects from birth.

He fits the bill perfectly.

Knew he was riddled with issues the moment he emerged from the media scrum.

the best thing is that the media got to AAMI at 8 30 am and waited all day for nothing lol

Eat [censored] scum

Good to see you are still with us HH. I was worried that you may have considered self-harm when Neeld wasn't sacked yesterdya. I guess the saving grace for you was that we made the media look like bigger fwits than what we thought possible.

The media think they run football.

Yep nothing grind my gears more than seeing 'Damo' or 'Steveo' have their 5 minutes on footy shows. Who the F**k are they, and why should we care about what they say?

They have a entire pannel of footy people on these shows yet these dweebs somehow become the reputable people for rehashing AFL.com/Herald sun's website?

Yeah, just like "Bomber" Thompson couldn't coach.

More "journo's" (if that's what they can be called) cover AFL than federal politics. Unbelievable, seriously how our country is run and what becomes of it is less important to the media than covering the footy. Seriously WTF!! there are only so many things that can occur at footy clubs and at head office, yet there are many pages of shite that must be written and time that needs covering between ad breaks. So if there ain't a head line and a grab for each of the footy journo's they have no choice but to make stuff up, go completely over the top and hype things out of all proportion - otherwise they wouldn't have a job to do.... How oh how would they then pay for their inner city apartment, mercedes coupe, beachside retreat and yearly 3 month overseas holiday?? Sick to [censored] death of "football media coverage". Just cover the footy and let us when something happens not your sources have led us to believe that this is going to happen tomorrow FMD. Sick of it

Sorry end rant

Good comment by the Aussie Soccer coach today answering the same question in Japan.

"Everything you read in the papers is true.

You know that don't you"

I am backing Peter Jackson all the way, if that means keeping Neeld ttil season end and seeing what he can do with proper structures around him then bring it on.

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,

    GALLANT by KC from Casey

The world “gallant” is not one that is readily acceptable to losing teams in our game of football so when it was used in the context of the Casey Demons’ loss to Sandringham in yesterday’s match at Casey Fields, it left a bitter taste in the mouth.  The Demons went into the game against the St Kilda affiliated Zebras with the advantage of playing on their home turf (not that this has been a major asset in 2024) and with very little else going in their favour. The Saints have close to a full

    MEANWHILE by Whispering Jack

… meanwhile, at about the same time that Narrm was putting its feet on the accelerator to obliterate the long-suffering Euro-Yroke combination, I heard someone mention in passing that Kuwarna was leading Waalitj Marawar by a whopping 46 to 1 halfway through the second quarter of their game over in Adelaide. “What is football coming to?” I asked myself.  In front of my eyes, the Demons were smashing it through the midfield, forcing turnovers and getting the footy to their forwards who w
