Tim Watson made that point on the TV coverage - he times his leap so well, that he takes the ball right at its peak. Impossible to deal with given his height.

On another note, I worry that what makes him such a fantastic player is what eventually will be his downfall. Because he smashes packs and breaks heads a bit, I kind of get the feeling he might be the type who is done by the time he is 27 or 28, just because he is so physical and gets knocked around so much. I really hope that's not the case, because he has totally bought in, and he is in for the long haul with us.

He smashes packs, alright. One of Jonathan Brown's major facial injuries the other year was from Mitch's elbow. If anyone can find the vision, it looks horrific.

Why?! :(

Somebody with some medical knowledge please tell us there is no lasting damage possible?

My heart just dropped!

f@#$ing typical !!

wonder how it will impact his team-mates - so much has revolved around Mitch this year

this will be a serious test of the team's psyche and resilience

Gutted. Absolutely gutted. Not for the supporters, or even the club. I'm gutted for him. He took all the flak he copped over the summer and was on the way to an All Australian season. Given our draw he would have ended with 70 goals.

2012 will go down as one of the worst seasons in the clubs history. What will go right?!

Sad news for Mitch and the Club.

Devastating news for Clark and the club.

He's on 29 goals, the next two best are Jones and Howe. Will he still end up winning our goalkicking?

Bad luck Mitch! Terrible news.

Time for Martin, Cook and Sheahan too step up! Martin most likely.

Cook, yeah right. Ideally, playing Cook along side Clark is what was needed.

This is a crushing blow to everyone.

I just can't believe it, after a quarter like that... here's a taste of the elite, MFC supporters, that's all you get, a taste.

Gutted for him and all of us.

Just been reading about that injury. The really CRAP part of this is it may affect him in a permanent way. What is it with key big men in this club?! We either cant find them, or if by some miracle we do, they break. Every silver lining is forever replaced by dark clouds. Sorry....Im just having a downer about this.

On the plus side, we will not win anymore games and will secure a pick to get Viney ;-)

Situations like this do present opportunities for other players. We have been Clark focused all year and maybe this will give us more options.

He has been amazing all year but maybe this gives Cook, Sheahan etc a chance. I just hope they don't move Watts from the back line straight away, he is too important with his play set up.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
