Finally the footys back and the main things im looking for tonight is:

1) A decent looking game plan and what see what Neeld has come up with

2) To win both games

3) Grimes to get through and no major injuries to anyone else

4) Clark to do well up foward

5) For us to man up our opposition. It frustrated the hell out of me last year when I looked down the field and see the opposition players loose downfield and they got easy goals.

Wet weather changes things a bit.

1 - Our tall forwards to play crash'n'bash to get the ball on the ground and into the hands of crumbers.

2 - Someone to stand up and play as a crumbing forward.

3 - Serious contested ball.

4 - No injuries.

5 - One win.

Given the conditions and back to back games, I don't think two wins is realistic. Game one will really take it out of us. Nicely set up by the scheduling guys to make sure Brisbane gets the points I guess. We'll see how they really stack up in round 1.

Edit: typos.

Wallet, keys, phone , smokes & lighter

After that, echo those that want no injuries.

The conditions have dulled my expectations. Doubt the forward line will be able to set up & function the way Neeld is planning. And if predictions are correct about our new boundary hugging gamestyle are correct, we might get bitten on the bum by the NAB Cup OOB rules

So yeah, no injuries

Football can also be played in wet conditions during the year so this will be a chance to see a Neeld wet game plan. Could be a very interesting night as they would have known of the weather patterns for a while.

Small men crumb the packs. Kicks off the ground.

1. No injuries

2. Bringing the ball back into play after an opposition behind.

3. Who excels in our midfield (Couch, Magner, Gysberts, Moloney, Grimes, Sylvia, Bail, Petterd, Green, Grimes...)

4. Grimes leadership

5. Our forward line set up.

.

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
