That's one of my favorite wins for long time. A team with such pride in the jumper that instead of taking the easy, cruisy path, as highlighted in the fox stats noted above, they dug in and said, nup, the dees win. Just fantastic. I am so proud to be a dees fans.

It sounds like an ACL. Absolutely devastating to be honest. I've admired him this year purely of how hard he's worked and the influence he's had on our forward line. Footy is bloody cruel because he deserves to finish his career on a high note and that would be by winning a flag. I'd offer him a one year deal imo.

When we play brute force footy like we did at times in that second half no one can touch us. Bring on finals. We are ready.

Make no mistake, Premierships are won from the self-belief created from wins like that. A truly outstanding victory with parallels to R23 2021. All the more impressive, that we were playing for nothing.

I don't think that we should take that comeback lightly. Swans were hot in the 3rd, we had a lot of stuff going on and we're playing some of the worst footy for a while. Enter the 4th and we rolled up the sleeves and got to work like a great unit does and got the job done. When they say a champion team beats a team of champions, this is a champion team. I couldn't be prouder of the Melbourne Football Club right now. I always loved this club with everything I had but this is just a great time to be watching this club. Thanks Dees!

A win takes the team to 64 premiership points that is a good omen.

Judd McVees defensive capability was brilliant. I always loved Nev Jetta and I see similarities with McVee's one on one defence but his ability to drive on transition is at another level.

Magnificent finish to the H&A with a Top 4 already cemented. We should really appreciate this team, how we can change the game when all was against us in the 3rd is truly fantastic. And we’ve done it all year. We are really hard to beat and that gives all supporters heart.

What a win. Our best two wins of the season have been against Sydney. We were on the ropes there in the third when Max went off and Fritta then Melky went down but we soaked up a huge amount of pressure before flexing our muscles and pulling away. Fantastic. Fingers crossed for Melky.

Fritsch is just a forward 50 God with magnificent luscious hair.

Spoke to Petty at quarter time, had surgery this week and is on crutches, cannot weight bear. Is out for the year. Said kicking 6 felt good, wished him all the best. Tall lad up close.

This is where I slept last night. The bottom “bunk” is mine. I was in a six-capsule dorm on the third floor. The first and second floors are bars/nightclubs. Didn’t realise this until about 6am when my five dorm-mates came “home” to crash. Five very hip Asian raver-boys. It was like a K-pop band and I was their manager. 😂 I slept like a log in my coffin/space capsule. Got up fresh as a daisy, three coffees (despite the [censored]-iness of Sydney coffee), and one 600ml can of Monster and I’m ready to watch the mighty Dees monster the Swans (see what I did there)! …or lose to them which wouldn’t be the end of the world coz Collingwood at the ‘G = soiya later Pies! Some major carry on here today.. We'll take the game on as serious as we have under Goody's tenure. I hope we win and it's an absolute grinding one too. Nothing better then a good solid test right on the eve of finals to see what we're really made of. If it's one team you want to do it against its certainly Sydney with their contested game plan style. Football is also a contact sport.. injuries happen.. who would have thought hey?

In what was a dead rubber for the Demons the game still produced some carnage with Jake Melksham looking like he will be out for the remainder of the season with a knee injury. The Dees overcame a charge from the Swans in the third and ran away winners by 21 points. The Dees will take on the Magpies in the first week of the finals.

Bailey Fritsch is the most underrated forward the AFL He makes it look so easy. man we have missed his unbelievably effective goal scoring

You can't understate how impressive that win is. Swans were playing for a home final and had the emotional motivation of Buddy's farewell behind them. They were all over us in that third quarter and we slowly worked our way back into the match. Full credit to our leaders in Petracca, Gawn and Viney who kickstarted the fightback. Gotta mention Laurie as well. Had some important touches when he came on for Melk.

Gotta maintain a winner’s mindset at all times. If anyone here thinks it a plausible idea to go into this game thinking a loss will be okay as we’ve got the Pies at the G is crazy. We owe the Lions from last year and if we win today we’ll go to Gabba and take care of business. 🔴🔵💪

Could be anything, but ACL seems very unlikely given his ease and no apparent swelling. If I HAD to guess, I’d say medial ligament (MCL), gde 1+, which would make him a non-starter for the QF anyway. 🤞🏻 it’s nothin’.

The dislike for Hunter on this site is really embarrassing and cringe. He's been consistently good this year and will possibly finish in the top 5 in our best and fairest. And by the way, he is a way better player than Jordon.
