I believe there might be a full moon tonight for the supporters of both teams to howl at during the breaks in play.7 points

The most worrying thing for me is not that we keep losing, but that we don’t look even remotely like we are building anything for next year.7 points

The complete apathy I have for this club is near equivalent to that of the Neeld years. I’m feeling so lost and low right now. Even with all of the injuries we have, there is something stinking so badly at this club.6 points

“Another tough night tonight guys. There are parts of our game that are slowly coming together but there’s still lots to improve upon. We’re frustrated. You’re frustrated. But we are working really, really hard, and we’ll be doing everything we can to get a win for you to finish the season.”6 points

Tonight is going to be interesting. I’m really hoping Bancroft can build a solid innings because Warner has just flopped again. Smith and Head to continue their great form once they come to the crease.6 points

Hold on folks. We are almost there! 8 Days 6 Hours 53 Minutes Season 2019 Ends6 points

Missed the game. Just checked the final scores. This is my guess how we played. Had more inside 50’s. Gave away easy gimmie goals. Gawn dominated but midfield pantsed. Missed easy set shots. Captains played like spuds. Consistently turned the ball over. mindless bombing into forward line. Am I wrong with my guesses?5 points

I won’t be buying a Membership early this year. The Club can ring me and Beg next year, i am sick of giving this Club Free Money, when they do not care or respect it. Enough is Enough.... F$&@ You5 points

Cannot believe how many are choosing not to go. It's a HOME game. A bigger crowd helps the club. Pull ya fingers out!5 points

Great news. I look forward to more member discounts. And I don't need to throw away my current gear.4 points

I find Leonard Cohen's final album, released just a week or so before he died, You Want it Darker, more suits my mood.4 points

I hope we lose by 150 points next week. I don't know why, but this list don't want to play under Goodwin. If we don't make a change, yet another year will be completely wasted. Unwatchable heartless sh*t.4 points

I’m 33, which might be young to some supporters on this page, and started following us in 1996. This is without a doubt the worst season I’ve experienced. The disappointment after so much hype is just absolutely crushing. Something really stinks with this club. There’s something rotting and I really hope this internal review yields something.4 points

Given the team we had on the park, I'm just not sure what people were expecting. Seriously. We had a midget forward line with 2 actual forwards in it, is the lack of conversion from I50's a surprise? People should stop looking for clever reasons as to why we're performing badly. We have 17 players unavailable, including some really key players at both ends of the ground, and we're putting what is largely a VFL-quality team on the park. Surprise surprise, we're losing - and at times, losing badly.4 points

I gave up caring about this season 2 months ago, but I'm actually pizzed off with that performance. Something stinks to high heaven about this mob.4 points

Wanna torture someone their whole life? Make them love football , but then force them to support Melbourne.4 points

This would have to be one of the worst games of football by Melbourne Ive seen in the last 50 years. They must have given up.4 points

Absolute horrendous game of footy. Jones can [censored] off, [censored] terrible leader.4 points

Well pit, personally I’d rather [censored] myself in the privacy and warmth of The Manor than venture out on a miserable night to view a public flogging Edit Note. Re the censorship program. It seems one may participate in a flogging but one is not allowed to [censored] oneself!!??4 points

With my luck that team will finish bottom next year. Now which team should I choose? Carlton, Collingwood or Essendon?4 points

I'll do it if Demonland sponsor my membership and by me the gear. I'll even remove a tooth if it's Collingwood to ensure I'm authentic.4 points

How can those in charge of the AFL sleep at night with the west coast free kicks massively skewed in their favour when they play at home?4 points

I would love to know the reason why we dropped Hunt, our second highest goal kicker, and picked two midget forward pockets. Particularly when we have no key forward/relief ruckman.4 points

he was good earlier this year but his last 4 weeks he has been in our worst. He effort has seemed to drop away so it is a pretty obvious omission imo3 points

I was going to watch the game then realised I have to fold up and put away some bedding I washed yesterday.3 points

Thank goodness you aren't in charge. You don't throw away early picks like that. Escpeically when you are giving them to Jason Taylor, who could have had him instead of Spargo to begin with.3 points

Yeah they were, they were fantastic actually. I understand we have done them this year and some of our content has been the best in the league in my opinion. I think 2019 has just worn down everyone, including the digital guys.3 points

New Balance should be commened on such great loyalty to our Football Club. After this years deebarcle they could have easily packed up and went to another sporting organisation.3 points

That team is a [censored] disgrace and it is an embarrassment to everyone connected with the club that they have let it get to this point. Woeful drafting and list management, terrible injury management and pathetic selection have combined into one total [censored] storm. If you lose players you bring in the next in line for the position, you don't just throw everything up in the air and say let's not play a forward line this week. If it is good enough for Clarkson to say "you lose a soldier, you replace him with another one", then it is certainly good enough for me. Preuss and Keilty may not be great footballers, but they'll generally give a contest and they are certainly both better value than Spargo and Chandler ever will be at this level. Let's play Goody's Selection Bingo: players selected with injury / fitness issues - Melksham at the very least players selected with no VFL form - Spargo & Chandler ignore the players who performed well in the VFL last week - Keilty, Wagner & Preuss named in best players Goody's favourites in for no apparent reason - Neal-Bullen no key forwards - its not as though there aren't any options at Casey no ruck support (yes Sydney don't have a ruckman, but why not capitalise on a clear advantage?) And, if somehow we manage to beat Sydney, that's not due to great coaching or selection. It's an indication that they want to win even less than we do.3 points

The point that Carey makes is clear. But to not upset the Demonland censors by quoting large chunks of the Age article, I have exchanged a number of words for suitable alternatives. You can find the key below: Confidence – cajones Pre-season – preparation Injury/off – owies/underdone Football/footy – this brutal death sport Season/year – grueling sprint to the finals Slow or indecisive – like Angus Brayshaw in a manipulated media clip "Cajones in this brutal death sport are often spoken about and come in many forms. In my experience, an owies-free preparation can be one of the biggest factors in building the cajones early in the grueling sprint to the finals." "A strong preparation is the foundation for everything you try to build throughout the grueling sprint to the finals proper. If you don't have the belief that you've done the required work, doubts can quickly snowball and start affecting different parts of your game." "Given how highly structured this modern brutal death sport is, it only takes one or two guys to be a little bit underdone for entire game-plans to break down. If one player is out of position, it can make several others look like Angus Brayshaw in a manipulated media clip. One break in the chain, and it can be detrimental to a team's overall cajones."3 points

I agree with selection, need to know who isn't AFL standard. We can't go higher or lower on the ladder. Give a few lads a game in the AFL before you show them the door. I'll be there watching them play tonight and signing up again for the next year. And if they dish up the same crap again next year as they did this year, I will lay the boots into them again. Always Melbourne no matter how [censored] they are.3 points

Bedford, Bradtke & Jordon the only ones left at Casey yet to get the call up... The cupboard really is bare 'Pennant'. A lot complaining about selection & for the life of me the in's don't make a lot of sense. That is until you look at who's available.3 points

Agree Kev, most pkayers at this level have gotten this far because of their competitive nature. I'm not sure about the selections myself but hey going tall with big lumbering big men hasn't worked since Tmac and Weid went down and now Petty out. I think we can ruck solo against the Swans and use a 190cm + chop out. Smaller forward line is something different not that I think it will work but hey why not try it. I don't rate Pruess as anything other than Max's understudy and Hunt has been ordinary for most of the year and I've said on other threads he's trade bait for mine. I'm hoping with this line up we look at running hard and spreading across the ground, which has been missing for most of the year Not sure how we'll go but I shall tune in from the Amalfi Coast in Italy (over for a wedding) whilst hydrating myself with a few reds and Birra Moretti La Bianca's ( which I've become accustomed to), hoping for a win3 points

You know we’re not playing finals when all our favourites such as ANB, JFK, Stretch, Spargo and a Wagner brother are all playing in round 22.3 points

I thought the vid where Oskar Baker's dad spoke about the boy's mother who passed away was one for the best I've seen. Dunkley's clip with his brother was pretty good too.3 points
