Demonland 74,457 Posted May 1, 2023 Posted May 1, 2023 I didn't want to tarnish Kozzy Pickett Day yesterday with this tripe. 1 6 Quote

It's not a bad top 5. I love that we have so much quality these days we can be shirty about it though. 3 Quote
DutchDemons 1,446 Posted May 1, 2023 Posted May 1, 2023 Cornes wouldn’t make my top 5 list of AFL clickbait media personalities. 2 2 Quote
BDA 23,048 Posted May 1, 2023 Posted May 1, 2023 I get Cornes is divisive but what's wrong with the list? Hard to argue with the top 4. Dangerfield should be replaced by Clarry. 12 Quote
The Jackson FIX 3,512 Posted May 1, 2023 Posted May 1, 2023 He’s a bit of a harmless narcissist - revels in the controversial-subjective, knowing it will get under everyone’s skin but also knowing he can’t be wrong. 1 Quote
dazzledavey36 56,347 Posted May 1, 2023 Posted May 1, 2023 Not entirely sure that the issue is with this list. His opinion. People want to be triggered for the sake of being triggered. 9 Quote
Clintosaurus 7,953 Posted May 1, 2023 Posted May 1, 2023 Certainly triggered Pies fans. Where's little Nicky they keep saying. 3 Quote

Cornes is bandwagon stuff for the short-term memory. He really lacks depth; rather, he looks for sensationalism placing it under wraps in order to look analytical. Within days, his opinions fragment, dissolve, rot - at least that provides him with a chance or two at finding another few bucks from another few 'non-critical' abstractions. 2 Quote
In Harmes Way 7,871 Posted May 1, 2023 Posted May 1, 2023 (edited) I’m more inclined to agree with Clarko’s assessment that we have 8-10 All Australians at the moment Edited May 1, 2023 by In Harmes Way 10 Quote
beelzebub 23,392 Posted May 1, 2023 Posted May 1, 2023 You lost me at Kane Cornes Probably lost most ppl. Though Kozzie says Hi 4 Quote
Ollie fan 3,672 Posted May 1, 2023 Posted May 1, 2023 I’ve heard those top three a bit recently. Funny, I remember in a particular game at the end of 2021 when halfway through the third quarter, the commentators were raving about Bontempelli. Oliver went on to him, Bontempelli was hardly seen again, and Melbourne dominated. Doesn’t that say something about the respective quality of the two players? It was, after all, a reasonably important game. 2 1 3 1 Quote
Colm 2,204 Posted May 1, 2023 Posted May 1, 2023 Riley Beveridge had the same top 4 on his show over the weekend. Quote
Fritta and Turner 4,697 Posted May 1, 2023 Posted May 1, 2023 I dont mind his list if you define it as - Which players can produce a burst/ quarter of elite footy to turn or win a game. You always have to keep them covered. For the best footballers see coaches votes. 2 Quote
layzie 34,528 Posted May 1, 2023 Posted May 1, 2023 I think it's a good list. Danger might be a reach based on 3 good games though. 2 Quote
daisycutter 30,021 Posted May 1, 2023 Posted May 1, 2023 wouldn't have greene and dangerfield in top 5 2 Quote
FlashInThePan 1,893 Posted May 1, 2023 Posted May 1, 2023 It's actually not a bad list, should just be renamed to 'Top 5 players that caught my attention this week' 15 1 Quote

Talk about clickbait. Kane's mastered the process and its now pretty easy to identify. Talk to the hand Kane. 2 Quote

Demon Dynasty 17,168 Posted May 1, 2023 Posted May 1, 2023 (edited) SEN (read Collingwood's surrogate broadcaster) and it's hosts are a very hard listen now and have been ever since Hutchy took over. Super cringeworthy especially Radar and, aside from Brenton Sanderson's analysis on a Thurs, generally a very very boring lot that just talk AFL speak & pander to the Collingwood nuffies. Sando's session is available via the Thurs Whately podcast and is the only piece i bother listening too. Edited May 1, 2023 by Demon Dynasty 1 Quote
TeamPlayedFine39 8,525 Posted May 1, 2023 Posted May 1, 2023 ‘Top 5 Players’ makes the criteria very unclear, but if he’s saying the current top performing or in-form players, then the only one I’d strongly disagree with is Dangerfield. Quote
