GAMEDAY - Round 16

Featured Replies

Alright lets build up a great lead then take our good players off towards the end.

Bring it home well Melbourne

from the AFL site

at least one positive from this mess:

Christian Petracca recorded quarter-highs for disposals (12), contested possessions (nine) and clearances (four). He was the only player to record more than one kick (four) at an efficiency of 100 per cent.

We actually need to kick a swag of goals considering what is happening in Hawks dogs and considering north will win by 1000 points tomorrow

Glad the dinner party I’ve been hosting has just finished and I’ve missed having to witness that scoreline

Great kick inside 50 from Billy Stretch there.  More of that would be great.

ANB misses a sitter.  Anyone surprised?  I'm not.

Nibbler doesn’t deserve to hold his spot on this form.

ANB is trying his hardest to prove his defenders wrong.

Relative humidity is now touching 80 in Darwin

Sh|| t ! Really??? The wevver forecorst (say in tony grieg voice) said 25(ish).

start pulling players to rest!!

I know his opponent isn’t a world beater, but Frost has been very very good

I notice Jones is getting caught a lot more this year. He's just that tad bit slower now. I fear the end might come for him a bit quicker than we though.

is garlett still on ??? or just having a quiet one again

He's kicked a goal and everyone said that was enough

My love for BF is huge, so many modern players would have tried to milk that high contact, he is just getting on with things, such a ball player.

ANB golly ... cant hit a barn let alone a door!

Get off Neal Bullen

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

It's Game Day and Clarry's 200th game and for anyone who hates Carlton as much as I do this is our Grand Final. Go Dees.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
