Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

Frost has been very good in the first half for Casey today.

If Weid isn't ready, surely he is the bloke who can play CHF or CHB and pinch hit in the ruck.

Big, strong and quick, while capable of making a mistake, he is surely better value than Tim Smith at this stage.

I would rather him on the hff than ANB, because at least he has weapons.

I thought ANB murdered Motlop last night

What a lot of people aren’t  realising is we are lacking run from half back because Hibberd is being forced to defend a y’all due to our small backline

That is correct D'lad.  Many are missing this important point.  We hardly have any run as it is.  He is vital at ground level and should not be running back to try and fill a hole against a bigger opponent so often, then having to butter up on the ground attempting to create run also (which surely is his main role).  The obvious selection was Frost for Vince.

Along with other poor selection decisions/non decisions and some horribly out of form players (one of them Vince!), the defensive line up Goody went with impacted our ability to convert up forward and impacted the final result.

Weids and Stretch putting their hands up for consideration but that doesn’t resolve the backline issues.

Now nearly 3/4 time and Sam Frost revelling in the chilly conditions.

Sounds like Weed has demanded selection for Tim Smith

Have any others? Stretch for ANB or Hannan?

How has Petty been?

too soon to be talking about next week.

we've got nothing to gain from these wins. if we drop it, out of finals. if we win, we continue to be an outside chance to make that 8th spot.

i'm not looking forward to these 'easy' games. all to lose and a win doesnt tell us anything about fronting up against good teams

Irrespective of today, Weideman is going to be a very good AFL player.  He'll come in for Smith.

I hope Frost isn't selected.  He's a great athlete, but a hopeless decision maker and very average footballer.

I’d like to see us make changes which address our flaws.

We need more tackling/crumbing presence in the foward line so Garlett or Spargo should be looked at. We don’t need both Harmes and ANB, neither of whom perform in big games.

Frost has no football IQ. His athleticism gets him picked and his basic, terrible mistakes get him dropped, every time. I guarantee if he is picked the gameday thread will be full of complaints about him turning it over.

You obviously didn't see the Casey game today. Frost was easily the best defender & under the shocking conditions had no obvious clangers. He's put his hand up for next week & deserves another chance.

I don’t think there is too much wrong with the backline. Only change is possibly Vince. I think the weed 4 Smith and Garlett 4 ANB. Stretch may be worth a go especially against the saints or dockers. Oh and those talking about dropping Hogan need to see some one in a white coat.

Why ins

need a big strong back, more crumbing up fwd, more pace and dangerous forward/rotation ruck

IIRC weid takes marks or brings to ground and kicking is sublime. And he attacks opponents .... unlike someone else

there's no way lewis is being dropped, and i'd doubt vince will either

anb completely blanketed motlop out of the game, but didn't make the most of his opportunities up forward, and harmes kept running and kept presenting

if we do choose to bring in another tall back, our whole defensive structure is messed with, no matter who rotates out

    TRAINING: Monday 29th April 2024

Demonland Trackwatcher Kev Martin was on hand at Gosch's Paddock for Monday's training session and made the following observations. About 38 to 40  players down at training.  BBB walking laps.  Charlie Spargo still in rehab, doing short run throughs.  Christian Salem has full kit on and doing individual work with a trainer. He is is starting to get into some sprints. I cannot see Andy Moniz-Wakefield out there. Jack Viney and Kade Chandler have broken away from the

    DISCO INFERNO by Whispering Jack

Two weeks ago, when the curtain came down on Melbourne’s game against the Brisbane Lions, the team trudged off the MCG looking tired and despondent at the end of a tough run of games played in quick succession. In the days that followed, the fans wanted answers about their team’s lamentable performance that night and foremost among their concerns was whether the loss was a one off result of fatigue or was it due to other factor(s) of far greater consequence.  As it turns out, the answer to

TIGERS PUNT CASEY by KC from Casey

The afternoon atmosphere at the Swinburne Centre was somewhat surreal as the game between Richmond VFL and the Casey Demons unfolded on what was really a normal work day for most Melburnians. The Yarra Park precinct marched to the rhythm of city life, the trains rolled by, pedestrians walked by with their dogs and the traffic on Punt Road and Brunton Avenue swirled past while inside the arena, a football battle ensued. And what a battle it was? The Tigers came in with a record of two wins f

    GAMEDAY: Rd 07 vs Richmond

It's Game Day and the Demons once again open the round of football with their annual clash against Richmond on ANZAC Eve. The Tigers, coached by former Dees champion and Premiership assistant coach Adem Yze have a plethora of stars missing due to injury but beware the wounded Tiger. The Dees will have to be switched on tonight. A win will keep them in the hunt for the Top 4 whilst a loss could see them fall out of the 8 for the first time since 2020.
