Almost impossible to make a case for a change .... NO Change.

Weid and Pedersen back to Williamstown.. almost deja vu save that instead of Hibberd they will have Hunt off the backline.

Next week should be a regulation win if we are the team we wish to become.

Williamstown????

The only change is the narrative.  Time to take us seriously.  Cats, Hawks and Tiggers damned happy they played us before the Tsunami started.

The Filth won't acknowledge anything about the Dees until they, too, are thrashed as comprehensively as others have endured over the past five weeks. We all knew that it could pan out this way and incredible depth has facilitated a team of up to 30 hungry players.

The only change I'd consider assuming everyone pulls up sound is Spargo.  That's not a comment on his form which has been fine, but simply that he's young and might need  rest now that he's had a few games at the top level.  Realistically, you'd think a team that's juts won by those margins in the last two rounds would be untouchable though.  Clearly the mix is right at the moment.

Spargo needs to be ready for the Filth.

In a weird bit of ‘laddering’ the top 8 teams play the bottom 8 next week. Will be interesting to see how many actually win but it’s a big opportunity for us to further seperate ourselves from the also rans.

I like it, FND!

With the exception of Port vs. Hawthorn which is actually 9th vs. 10th anyway. Great pick up!

If there are no forced changes leave it as is. Can’t mess a team that’s won by a combined total of 200 points over two weeks.

I reckon Spargo would say “I’ll rest when I’m dead” if you asked him. As jacey points out, anyone who hands over their spot in the side risks not getting it back. If Spargo is rested he’ll go kicking and screaming I think.

I imagine for management sake, there'll be at least one change.

Playing in Alice is energy sapping which is evidenced by our push for a future bye after these matches. It would have taken it out of a number of players for sure.

One change I could definitely see is Lewis for Hunt. It was hard to be critical about yesterday's team performance but if there's one player who looked like he was struggling a bit, it was Jordan. He looked super slow once the ball left his area and he butchered the ball too much for someone who usually uses it so well. He's also old so I'm sure his body would appreciate it.

Other than that, hopefully everyone has pulled up well this morning.

The club is pushing for a bye after the Darwin game NOT for after the Alice Springs game.

They are different towns with very different climates

It should be considerreed for many of the younger players, esp. Spargo, that they need the experienece of Queens Birthday to prepare for finals atmosphere. Resting him this week is counter productive in this regard unless he's injured.

80,000 crowd possibly and they need to be prepared for a big stage.

I have great faith in medical team. If he plays he will be OK to play and not a risk.

On the rest theory I have seen a few clubs "managing" or resting some players but correct me if I am wrong it is not widespread.

Cannot see it happening given the 9 day break that follows this game and then the bye.

Spargo played a very solid game so not him.

Vince looked fine as did Lewis. You can't rest Max and the midfield is working like a Swiss watch.

This is true...  big break after this weeks game before  Queens Bday and then an even bigger break for the bye.

Light week on the track this week.

NO CHANGE

Who would of thought we would get to a stage where we couldn’t fit in Garlett, Tyson and Hunt.

Goody might do a shorter main training session this week to get ready for dogs. I think Spargo might be an option for a rest but he deserves to play against the dogs.

In terms of output Spargo lifted by about 25% on the previous week.  Comparatively only slightly behind his debut against Essendrug.  Can't see him being rested this week.

The timing of the buy will be perfect for the likes of Fritsch, Spargo and Vince IMO.

Spargo: yes Goody, actually I am feeling pretty tired. Please rest me - I know I probably won’t get my spot back since the side is in such good form, but I’m not enjoying belting sides on a weekly basis anyway. I wouldn’t want to be the only first year player in all of history to play 6 games in a row.

THE PEOPLE SPEAK by The Demonland Crew

DEMONLAND - Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland 2024 Grand Final Podcast ... before we took that last phone call from a Demonlander, we were discussing how the club overcame it’s midseason slump, the season-ending injury to Christian Petracca and the loss for a brief period of skipper Max Gawn due to a  crack to the base of his right fibula, to slowly surge up the ladder turning our detractors into believers and how it ended the year triumphant in the finals with our capta

EARLY BIRDS by KC from Casey

Wet, slippery conditions and threatening rainfalls greeted the VFL Bombers at the end of their long journey southeast of the big city on Sunday. The threatening weather combined with the fact that neither side had realistic prospects of advancing to action in September, meant that spectators gathered at a cold Casey Fields weren’t expecting a classic exhibition of football. Nor did they get one. Instead they were presented with a dour struggle that never reached great heights. It was a

Who said the football gods and scoreboard attendants at the MCG don’t have a sense of humour? The gods spent a whole week teasing Demon and Bomber fans alike about Saturday night’s game. About how the entire match would be dominated by the hulking, brooding figures of 205cm Sam Draper and his 2IC Peter Wright lapping it up in the absence of Melbourne skipper and the club's No.1, No 2, No 3 and No 4 ruckman Max Gawn in the wake of that ankle injury. They painted pictures of Simon Goodwin ne

    GIANT HEADACHE by Whispering Jack

The crack in the captain’s ankle might be very small but the repercussions of the injury are enormous. The aftershock of the news that Max Gawn will sit on the sidelines for the next two or three weeks has provided Melbourne coach Simon Goodwin with a giant headache, not unlike the one he faced after the Kings Birthday when another Demon superstar Christian Petracca suffered his season-ending injury. That headache is magnified by the fact that Goodwin is facing a month of tough encounters a
