Daniel Rich has left the field in the hands of trainers with a suspected ankle injury.

I haven't seen any of the Saints vs Brisbane game aside from the final margin. If anyone was watching, how did the Lions look?

That is true. Poor disposal though.

Lions will shock a few times this year. Bookmark it.

St Kilda is uninspiring.

Brisbane should’ve beaten the saints. The amount of forward 50 attacking/entry poor turnovers by the lions gave the saints the game. Apart from that we’re pretty good.

If Rich is out, that's a big plus for us. He didn't look real happy sitting on the pine. C'est la vie  !!!!

Brisbane looked good for 80% of the game.

Saints worked very hard to pull away towards the end and the score difference wasn't a true reflection of the game.

They won't be a push over next week.

Their starting midfield bullocks well but they lacked run from half back and their kids tire quickly each quarter.

I watch most of the game on TV so this may be flawed analysis but I thought they exhibited all the signs of a good young side - best and worst is miles apart

Like all young teams they have 10 to 15 minute patches where they lose concentration and switch off. We were very similar in 2016 and even for patches of 2017.

I think our ball movement will be far too slick for them next week. They don't move it quick enough either. Hipwood was hopeless too, which helped St Kilda's cause, while St Kilda's chipping game in defensive 50 helped Brisbane press early. I don't think we'll give Brisbane that ability.

They don’t fall asleep in a game for as long as we do nor do they take teams easy as we will. It’s not a danger game for us, we need to play out of our skins to get close to them

They were smashing St.Kilda in the stoppages for 3 quarters

How will everyone feel about our season when we are 0-2?

Wrist slashing time methinks.

On the contrary, we're probably a more suited team to being 0-2 than 2-0, Could wake us up a little and shape our attitude and determination to get back up the ladder. I'll settle for a win though

Interesting, and probably correct.

I will try and take a positive approach. The Melb-Geel game was of a much higher standard than the saints-brissy game. Keep the pressure on them and they will turn it over much more than we do.

Ran rings around us last year at the G. A real danger match. Fagen has adoptated clarksons keepings off style which we struggle against.

Trouble is they don't have the skills to execute it properly yet.

Yes, that game cost us finals in my opinion.

We had a 5 goal lead and they came back and almost stole the game.  If we had maintained that lead or extended it we likely would not have had to worry about the Eagles catching us on % even after losing to the Pies.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
