God damn that feels good, even if it is only pre season. I have 6 hours to pack trailer and do a dump run and blower vac ground yard. Ample time as long as the beer fridge stays closed until at least lunch time (which is no guarantee)

Due to a promotion I have most weekend off now so it's gonna be on.

Go Dee's!

We have to break this psychological stranglehold this low rent team have over us. We did it in style against the Saints at Etihad last year. Now's the time to do the same to the kangas. Let's dine on fillet of skippy.

Hammering down at my place just across the Derwent from Kingston. Expected to clear around lunchtime. Looking forward to knocking back a few tins on the hill and hopefully a photo with Maxy after the game.

Can confirm it is pizzing down in Hobart city at the moment, and from all reports once the rain clears the wind will start up. Bloody typical, it’s hardly rained all summer and aside from last week the weather has been sensational, and every time melbourne come down it’s terrible.

Anyway I’ll be in the can bar drinking $12 mid strength beers. Go dees!

Kudos to all the Melbourne supporters attending another Hobart game against North,  even after the last 2 heart breakers against them.

That first one when we lost by a kick and Lindsay &@&$ Thomas of all people made the spoil that stopped us having a shot after the siren. That was torture.

At long last something approaching real footy is only a few hours away, and I can't wait  to see if all the positive track reports stand up to scrutiny under match conditions with real opposition.  Go Dees!

You should add Maxy to your “favourite players” before you ask him for a photo!

All of a sudden the JLT games are looking a lot more appealing after the AFLX shenanigans last week. Even moreso now they have ditched the supergoal. Actually feels like proper footy.

Have a good-ee, Josh. Wish I was in the vicinity for a few dozen, pre-game Tassy oysters on the dock, a bowl of chowder and pub crawl to the ground, with the good wishes of James Boag. Ah, the Tasmanian air! Carna Dees.

Too right! Supergoals are a killer and mess with the game.

It would be good to win, but a win in the JLT Cup won't break the hoodoo.

Demons beat Norf last time they played in the pre-season cup, then SNAFU. Lost to Norf in the season proper. I hate Norf. And their coach ... and all their players other than Ben Brown.

Beating Nought in a practise game counts for nothing over the last 12 years

Beating anyone in the pre season series has always counted for nothing, Mr. Brightside.

I'm just looking forward to some proper footy being played, seeing us jag a few goals and heading back to the mainland without any injuries.

Enjoy the day Hobart Demons.

When do they announce tonight's Team ?

The squad will be cut to either 24 or 26 (have we worked that out yet?) 90 minutes before game time.

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the

We'll break down the Match SIM against North Melbourne and wrap up the preseason with insights into training and our latest recruits. I apologize for skipping our annual season review show at the end of last season. After a disapponting season filled with off-field antics and a heated trade week, I needed a break. Thankfully, the offseason has recharged me, and I’m back—ready t
