Wow. Isn't that what the rule about lifting your arm up and drawing high contact was brought in for?

Wasnt a great night for headquarters. 3rd umpire looked inconsistent, ruck rules are a joke that isn't funny anymore, and then that high free makes a mockery of recent rule changes brought in to stop that.

The great steal. West Coasts first goal in extra time was likely touched off the boot but not reviewed then the last free was dubious given the similar ones that weren't paid perhaps 20 times prior in the game.

Nah. WC was always going to beat Adelaide regardless of whether we won or lost in round 23. So either we finished 7th and played Sydney or we missed out.

They also seem to score a goal every time they go in there. If they weren't touched or free kicks, they'd kick one anyway from A Port turnover coming out.

Actually, the goal was referred for review (you could hear the umpire referring it) and it was deemed ok, so the Centre bounce went ahead. Regardless of that, as the earlier goal by Port was accepted by the 3rd umpire when it was clearly touched at the same point of impact by the kicker as that Kennedy goal, then it had to be given.

But wow, what a game (apart from the 2nd and 3rd quarters).

I've been saying for over 30 years that the high tackle free kick should only ever be paid for a dangerous high tackle. 

Otherwise, the grey area of the high tackle ruling will remain forever. 

In league, union and even in soccer, incidental high contact is simply ignored and play just goes on (unless a player is hurt/incapacitated from incidental contact)

It's becoming more of a blight on the game as there are now numerous players who are able to milk high contact.

Well I suppose that game made up over the first three finals which were boring. Albeit it was the worst standard footy.

I just hate wet coke with a passion and it galls me to see those dirtbags advance to a semi final. They only made the 8 because of their home ground advantage' Port are the worst downhill skiers. Both of them can go and *&^%#$%^&

My Port Adelaide supporting cousin is over to visit. I'm lucky she has her priorities in order. She's only minorly devastated. I'd be going mental if it were me.
