Melksham - took his chances

Hannan - overwhelmed and undersized

Pedersen - no heroics today

Vince - past his prime

T.McDonald - disappointing and loose

O.McDonald - hardly imbued confidence

Harmes - was he playing?

Petracca had 23 touches kicked 2 goals and had 8 score involvements.

ANB kicked 2 goals and similar game to Trac. They both arguably kept us in it.

Way too lenient on Jones and Hunt. They were both awful.

You are happy with Hibberd turning it over or fumbling. Is not a shadow of the player he was early in the season.Something is wrong there.

Tried his heart out. He cares. That gives him a few credits for me

Replace against all players except the MacBoys- Butchered the Ball

Against the Mac boys- Very Dumb Footballer.

Gee, we get on the bike pretty easy. We only lost by 19 points so there must have been some positives.

Petracca: Brilliant at times/Missing at times

TMac : playing without confidence

Midfielders : too many easy entries into Cwood fwdline

ALL : 2 ay running required

Watts : DId something constructive with the ball

Salem - a witches hat.

Absolutely no pressure, intensity or even attempts at chasing.

I've been harping on about this all season. Glad someone else can see it.

He is a terrible player in transition.

We have bite the bullet, cannot play jones and vince in the same side. Oliver needs help and probably needs to have an additional week off. Since Gawn's return we turned to mush, probably opposition players have worked him out. We need to bite the bullet, perhaps Hogan needs to play back or be traded. We need to get more currency in the next trade,ANB ,Kennedy,JKH and Tyson to be moved on. Lever to become f.b. Omac to wing,T.Mac forward. We need a near ruckman,Gawn should play forward with only zone ruck duties. We need more mids with guts and speed. two wins up on last year is not good enough, but as a dee supporter you expect disappointment.

Did we rush Brayshaw back to soon? Admittedly was good against Saints and OK last week, but went missing today. Could have used a hard nut like Maynard in the middle today.

I thought Brayshaw was on each of our best to three quarter time. Interesting how people see things differently.

It wasnt a great game from him but the way the ball came in was horrible for a defender.

It was bad day to have a bad game though. He was much better than TMAc whose time in the frwd line has made him forget how to defend.

Why Goody keeps letting Vince play in the backline Ill never understand.

Gawn has been much worse than Watts this year is my 2 cents. Seriously needs to get to at least vfl fitness standard. Hes not marking because hes not presenting. Hes not presenting because he is 40 yards away.

Hannan has hit a wall.

That chip kicking by so many in the first 15 mins of the game was just strange.

There were just too many players that only played half a game.

There have been too many poor starts this year where the gap is so big we cant close it.

Something needs to be done b4 the first 10 min. Goody just doesn't seem like the type to fire them up. He's very cool and thats just how some coaches coach.

I wouldnt mind him throwing the odd wobbly from time to time.

Seriously the umpires did ignore a lot of frees they should have paid us and while we were poor it may have made a difference to our %.

We need to recruit another ruckman that can play fwd another gun midfielder and another wingman and we should be ok.

Several delists for me including White, Spencer, Kennedy, Kent and Trengrove to start with. JKH and Weidman need to get show some form next year.

We are moving in the right direction at least. we won ten games last year. As disappointed as I am.....the expectations of MINE were way too high.

Hmm yeah perhaps a bit harsh, had 20 stats, but wasn't really damaging. Kicked it to nobody about 4 times, just seems a bit unsure of himself still. Will  be a gun i'm sure though.

Brayshaw was very ordinary. He didnt hit hardly any targets and manages to get his kicks smothered very often. Id like to see this particular stat. It would be out of him and Tyson to see who gets smothered more. But I dont mind Dom's kicks being smothered, it creates a 50/50.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
