I actuallly cheered the goal that Elliot kicked. The only reason west choke get near the finals is their homeground advantage.

What advantage?

I actually wanted WCE to win to make it harder for the drug cheating club to make the 8.  Now we have to rely on the bulldogs beating them next week and even then they may still get there as they have an easy run.

And WCE will be easier to beat than Ess in a final!

Ess simply do not deserve to make the finals because of all the concessions the AFL gave them after bringing the game into dispute.  Note: my gripe is against Ess and the AFL, not the suspended players - they did their time.

It might be a dead rubber, but it's always nice to see Carlton get smashed.

Down by 53 to the Lions at half time.

North is getting very close to that number 1 draft pick........ could influence their selection for next week's game

I don't think I've ever been so pleased with a Collingwood win but the reality is that we are the ones in command of our own destiny.

In fact, we have four games to go against teams outside the top eight and one against GWS which is wobbly at the moment. Let's take things one week at a time by all means but I can see some good times ahead.

Tigers winning has thrown the cat amongst the pigeons a little bit, and I feel Richmond can count itself as a genuine threat (although if Dusty gets injured they're stuffed). I'd still love to play them in the first week of finals, the atmosphere would be enormous.

Tell me Carlscum are not "Tanking". They are a pathetic club.

Great for those of us who live and work in WA.

Watched it with my Pie supporting son and was cheering as loudly as he was for them to hit Elliot up when he was running into space inside 50m

My hatred for Meth Coast is real

Why do these footy commentators keep saying it is game on when a side is 10 goals down with three minutes left. It is getting beyond a joke.

Wish we were having another crack at these Tiggies with someone on interchange bench - but oh if that happens come finals then that WILL be one to relish!

My dream scenario.

Tigers finsih 4th. As a reward they play the Crows in Adelaide. In front of a manic crows crowd they have a shocking run with the umps, thier fans go crazy and the crows [censored] them by 10 goals. No one gets seriously injured but one or two key players have niggling soft tissue injuries.

Demoralised and sore they front up against a rampant dees at a packed MCG. The dees have easily won their elimination final and are on serious roll. They have all key players available, many of who are fresh, having missed big chunks of the season. In the elimination final they were able to give Gawn a good  rest in the final quarter given their lead.

The dees [censored] Richmond who are left bereft and in shock.

You forgot 1 important thing. They win the toss in Adelaide and choose to kick against the wind.

Are we playing the Cats in the prelim who now are fully primed to use the '1 game in 4 weeks' excuse? Or will it be Sydney at the SCG? :/

Awesome stuff,  helps us in the race for the 8, hurts West Coke making the 8 and the win means zilch for the Pies who are going nowhere.

Win all around.

Ah. This week did they decide "to do it for Bucks?"  Whereas other weeks.......

It actually means a lot for Collingwood - it means they will be stuck with the current coach indefinitely ?

Please explain ?  Haven't they lost quite a few over there including against us?

I think they went close last year. Sydney even complained about it.

Yes you are right. It's getting worse.

That final decision against Schofield, if that was a Filth Player This City would be in Meltdown tonight

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,

    GALLANT by KC from Casey

The world “gallant” is not one that is readily acceptable to losing teams in our game of football so when it was used in the context of the Casey Demons’ loss to Sandringham in yesterday’s match at Casey Fields, it left a bitter taste in the mouth.  The Demons went into the game against the St Kilda affiliated Zebras with the advantage of playing on their home turf (not that this has been a major asset in 2024) and with very little else going in their favour. The Saints have close to a full
