"Wrestlemania" out there at one stage and I thought the same.

He can basically kill you with a pressure point if you get him angry.

Rance quickly tapped out ,as he did against Franklin.

Don't get me started on Stringer. Legitimately the most overrated player in the competition and he's a deadset [censored] to go with it.

When he was at his best he was really something, but he began to believe his own hype and stopped doing team things thinking he was the next star of the comp.

Loved seeing Hunt chase him down.

Watching the replay. Loving the tap ons, the attack on the footy. Pressure was insane today. We played smart football and hardly over handballed all game.

Great win for the boys.

Nothing will top the Crows fans woes after we rolled them.  It was simply a stunning performance considering their team was still first on the ladder - and haven't been dislodged since either!

I've always been harsh on D'landers about carry-on when we lose, but that was a real eye-opener.

an awesome display, i cannot remember a better 4 quarters of contested, hard at it football from the Dees. I hope that this opens the players eyes so that they can see what they can and must continue to do for 4 quarters every game.

Most dominant 3 goal half ever.

Supporters will honestly tell themselves anything in denial to take the edge off the pain.

I don't understand these sentiments.  It was ALL deserved.

They'll NOW speak in glowing terms.

Produce crap, expect crap.  Produce great performances and expect plaudits.

That's how it works.  That's life.

I hate victimhood mentalities.

I finish work at 10 pm tonight. Lucky for me the bottle shop closes at 11pm and is only a 30 min drive away.

Get home, watch replay.

If no replay on Foxtel, watch the Colonwood game again.

Then watch the replay of Watts' goal last week another 200 times while getting drunk

Go to bed some time tomorrow morning

Wake with hangover.

Eat box of Panadol

Toast with Vegemite

Maybe spew from hangover

Watch todays game..... maybe twice

Watch the Watts goal another 100 times while finishing bottle from last night

Probably spew again

If not in a coma, i might watch the replay again.

Recover on Tuesday while watching the replay (Maybe twice)

Life is good being a Dees supporter.

:P

am I the only one that noticed he needs a box of panadol, and he didnt even FINISH the bottle after drinking till the morning?

And then spewed?

Lightweight!

First off, thank you to my friend for rescheduling our catch up today to next weekend. I ended up making the decision to head over to Etihad instead.

Secondly, YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!

Thirdly, here are some notes about the game

- Our pressure was immense. Like seriously unstoppable. Easily the best I've seen from a Melbourne side. The Bulldogs just could not find any room to move the ball, and when they could they butchered it because of our desire to tackle and apply pressure. I'm looking forward to watching the replay so I can count how many of our free kicks resulted from holding the ball decisions. Seriously impressive tackling throughout

- Oscar McDonald has now officially had a breakout game. I actually felt at ease later in the game when he had the ball later in the game. He could seriously be an asset when he puts on some weight over the next 2-3 years

- Jeff Garlett and Mitch Hannan are phenomenal in their pressure acts in the forward 50.

- Aside from some bad kicks (that were late in the game), Tom McDonald nearly had a career best game. I'd almost consider playing him as starting ruck next week and leave Gawn in the goalsquare so we have someone to kick to who can take a contested mark.

- Jack Watt's goal at halftime oozed of class, confidence and calmness. When he kicked truly, I started to officially believe that we could pull off something special.

- Loved Salem's game. Easily in my top 3-4 players for the day

Also, I love Tom Bugg. What a little [censored]

Garlett should have had another bag of 5 today.  Lock him in for his first 50 goal season.  Can't believe his turnaround in form this year.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
